Same Shit, Different Day

Except there was even MORE of it by virtue of there being a) miserable rain all day today, and b) miserable TRAFFIC all day today! I don't know WHAT happened, but getting both into and out of work was an exercise in frustration. Fortunately not QUITE as bad as the day it took me an hour to get home, but still. After a day of scrambling to get files in, and answer questions, and deal with mistakes on the website, and all that other fun stuff, I was really in no mood. And then there was laundry to fold too. *grumbles* I ended up skipping my new daily workout -- I'll make up for it on Sunday. I'm allowed ONE day to rest, I think, and there was just no helping it tonight.

Evening was a little better after we got home -- I got the final fight against the Conglomeration done in "Fixing You." Nice to write about my favorite characters beating up something after a rough day. I also watched the latest System Shock 2 set from Helloween (a plunge into the very belly of The Many! *insert AMA Queensland flashbacks here*) and a Fun With Shorts about an Insect Zoo (which had entirely too many closeups of a praying mantis eating another bug, ew). I did once again get too caught up in reading stuff to go to bed at a decent hour. One day I'll kick the habit! Just gotta force myself to focus. . . I am all set for my queue on VictorLuvsAlice tomorrow, at least. Though I still gotta figure out Friday. . .

Well, that's for tomorrow. Currently, my inbox is clean and my other stuff caught up on. Time to see about some sleep. Night all!

Something about precipitation makes everyone forget how to drive. Doesn't matter if it's rain or snow, traffic is almost a guarantee.

I know, I know, but this seriously felt way worse than usual. Which I admit is probably just because I've been having a stressful time at work and thus my patience for such things is almost nil. We actually passed another accident this morning, while it was still pretty foggy -- I had to stop to let a guy pick up a piece of his car that had ended up in the middle of the highway.
