-VD: Of course there's vampires in RI, we live here.-
But you guys weren't the first. From 1799 to 1892, six "vampires" attacked various people around RI. All of them young women. And it turns out that some of the bodies could be buried nearby! *shiver* Now wouldn't that be a Halloween adventure?
-VD2: What happened with all these "vampires?"-
Well, at least one was said to return to kill some of her siblings by crushing them. All eventually ended up with their hearts cut out and burned. Apparently one grave is cursed and nothing will grow on it -- the grave of Nelly L. Vaughn. She got a delightfully creepy epithet too. "I am waiting and watching for you."
-VD: *pale* They -- cut their hearts out?-
Relax, nobody's going to come after you.
-VD: Still, that's the stort of stuff to give vampires nightmares.-
Or daymares, as the case may be.
-VD: Wiseass.-
RI PBS is showing "Ghost and Vampire Legends of RI" too, I'll have to check that out. :)

Played the Smyth-Jones family and a bit of the Browns today. Wednesday, J.C. called Marty before school and had a nice chat with him, getting daily up to 100. She came home from school with a B+ and a friend, River Smith. They chatted and danced together while Adelaide came home from her medical job a few simoleons richer. I had Adelaide study her skills for a little while before heading for bed. J.C. did her homework, then recieved a call from Marty. They chatted for a bit, then J.C. went to bed too. Thursday was Adelaide's day off -- I had her work on promotion skills, as those satisfied wants. She also got a diagonal catcus bed. The thing constantly sprouts weeds, but if Adelaide wants to put up with that, she can. J.C. came home today with a big A+! After some fun for both of them, I had Adelaide help J.C. with her homework. That brought them up to best friend status. Adelaide later tried to call Vidcund Curious, but he wasn't home. She instead talked with J.C. before heading to bed. J.C. sold her first painting for four simoleons, then called her pal River. They had a short conversation, getting closer to friend status. Vidcund also called, but Adelaide was asleep by that point.
At the Brown's place, it was Saturday morning. George was up first -- I had him satisfy a want for more Charisma skill, then had him check food supplies. Since they were at 50, I decided I might as well fend off starvation and get groceries. Inspiration hit -- I could have him take Lorraine on a date first, then buy groceries! I promptly had him invite her and left just as the other boys were waking up. George arrived at 121 Jigowatt Drive to see quite a few familiar faces -- his son, Gypsy Lloyd, and later Doc walked by. However, their date was no "Hot Date." Lorraine was basically just another guest, going off to look at clothes and play Myshuno while George grilled. I couldn't ask her her mood or anything. I did have them do some romantic stuff -- they danced together and kissed, of course. George bought his groceries, said goodbye to Lorraine with a kiss, and decided to go home. On the way to the phone, he nearly tripped over a ground floodlight. :) Once home, Marty made toaster pastries, then called his new acquaintence Gary. Marty's goal is to have 10 best friends, and I'm pretty sure I can make that happen.
-M: *whistle* I'll believe it when I see it.-
You already have nine.
-M: *even more amazed* Holy shit.-
Exactly. I also have him invite Jennifer over to give her backrubs and tickles. Doc also regaine his lost logic point from his former accident with the thinking cap. I left Doc and Marty eating toaster pastries and George studying mechanical.
-J: Busy morning.-
Yup. They're going to have a Halloween party on Sunday too. :)
