Grouchy Saturday

crossover_chickLess on my end and more picking up from my parents (Dad got poked by one of Mom's plants and was having computer issues; Mom's fighting it out with an eye doctor about a charge for "helping her to quit smoking" that makes no sense as she hasn't smoked in twenty-five years). Although I still have the blister on the bottom of my foot, and the weather today tended toward the miserable, so there was that. Fortunately the blister's already starting to go away, and tomorrow's supposed to be much warmer, at least, so that's something. (Of course, it's also supposed to be super-humid with thunderstorms in the afternoon, sooooo. . .)
On more positive notes:
-->Room clean accomplished with minimal fuss
-->Wrote a new short for "The Technicolor Phase" -- I've decided to expand on things a bit, including adding at least a couple Bonejangles-POV bits to go with the Lizzie ones. I felt like, if I was going to have LizJangles be a part of this story, it should feature bits from both sides of the couple. This does mean that there's still more Corpse Bride content than Alice content in this story, but I'm not sure how to fix that. I'd like to at least get something about Alice confronting Bumby in, if I could. . .
-->Watched a bunch of short videos on YouTube today, including a couple of Sim Supply builds (an empty build based off a sound clip where different people hear either "Laurel" or "Yanny" -- the outside of the building thus has letters on the side spelling out "Laurel," and on the top, "Yanny;" and a mad scientist house build for a new LP he's doing about the interactive Scientist career!), a bunch of OXBox and OXTra videos (about such topics as games that tried to make real world change; Nintendo peripherals that didn't work well but had some cool ideas behind them; and creepy bits in what were supposed to be non-creepy games), and two "Fun With Shorts" (a really poorly-illustrated short on the invention of the computer and how awesome it is; and an "educational" short about middle-class late-1940s white people being assholes to each other for the most part). So that was fun. :)
-->Played some more BioShock 2 -- got a fair bit done, too. I've made it across the ocean to the secret plasmid lab of Fontaine Futuristics; started a fetch quest to get ADAM-lace plant life to lure the "boss" out of hiding; killed a bunch of splicers; did a full adopt-gather-rescue cycle with a Little Sister; and successfully killed a Big Sister. Whew! Very productive indeed, Delta. Now I've just got to find those other two plants and decide what to do about Alex The Great.

-->Set up my queue for the next few days, as usual (though I'm out of Magical Monday posts in my drafts. . .will have to correct this), and currently doing some RP over on tumblr while I prepare to tackle what's in my inbox. Typical Saturday evening stuff.
So yeah -- not a bad Saturday, but I'm hoping everyone's a bit more cheerful tomorrow. We'll see. . . Night all!
