Saturday of Heat

crossover_chickMe when first waking up this morning: Okay! We should really get out and do something, since it's the best day of the weekend!
Me upon discovering it was climbing to over 90 degrees outside: We should really get out and do something later, I'm gonna watch OXBox videos.
Heh, yeah -- it was a HOT one today. Definitely a solid start to the cultural summer season. I had both the ceiling fan and my regular fan going all day -- still going now, in fact, though it's happily cooling down a fair bit. My parents and I did get out this evening, though, around 5:30 -- we ended up at Lincoln Woods park and went for a walk. It was pretty nice among the trees, though it was pretty buggy. At least the mosquitoes didn't seem to be out yet. . .still, good to get my exercise in. Especially since tomorrow's supposed to be fairly shitty, so who knows what'll happen there.
As stated, though, my main activity of the day was catching up on OXBox lists on YouTube -- more fun unlockables, bosses that cheated during their fights, that sort of fun stuff. I also watched two more episodes of "Super Sim" after supper -- poor James had a very productive episode where Max fulfilled another aspiration and the children all started going up grade levels. . .and then the damn game crashed. So the next episode was all about redoing that progress -- though, since the episodes were recorded on either side of a trip he made, James had actually completely forgotten about the crash and everything else by the time he made the second episode. XD He's done that in other LPs -- prerecorded a bunch of stuff before a trip, then getting confused at the state of his game after he gets back and starts recording "live" again. Ah, the lives of LPers. . .
On the writing side, edited another bit of "The Technicolor Phase" -- this universe's version of Victor and Victoria's first meeting. We're into the whole "rewriting Corpse Bride" bit of the story here -- which I'm fine with, but it still makes me feel like there should be more Alice in there. The problem is, the actual plots of AMA and A:MR don't really change that much if everything's in partial grayscale. . .ah well, I'll just keep plugging at it. Gotta find places for a couple more Bonejangles-focused shorts too -- wouldn't mind having more of him around. Especially if it means showing off the background LizJangles a bit more. :)
Also, another "Scene From Secundus" is up: noisemaker. Featuring references to The Mask -- remember when I used to be really into that movie? Ah, memories. . .still like it. Should rewatch it at some point. Honestly, I have a whole bunch of movies that could stand rewatching. . .but YouTube is a cruel mistress, as is my job. Hmph.
And on the gaming side, played some more BioShock 2! . . .The splicer spawn-in rate is entirely too frequent, at least in this part of Fontaine Futuristics. For fuck's sake, guys, I'm trying to set up traps so I don't get mangled during a gather with my latest Little Sister! Who happens to be Cindy Meltzer, so I can't let ANYTHING happen to her! Yeah, killed the one named Big Daddy other than myself in this series -- Mark Meltzer, who fought his way down to Rapture to save his little girl and paid the ultimate price. :( In fact, I had to do it TWICE because of those damn splicers not leaving me alone! Fortunately I've manged to complete one gather with Cindy, and I'm prepping to do the other. Ugh, am I glad the Sisters no longer have health bars. . .
Anyway -- currently doing some of the RP thing, so I should get back to that. Night all!
