Mostly Okay Saturday

crossover_chickFor me, anyway -- my parents had a little more to deal with. Dad was having trouble with the weedwhacker (and accidentally partially whacked one of Mom's plants -- she assured him it was okay though), and had to exchange the speakers he got for his truck (which Mom and I are paying for, as a Father's Day present) because he and Mom got the wrong kind at first. And then Mom had to deal with a jerky employee at the fish counter when she and I went out shopping, and then accidentally got two Father's Day cards when she meant to get a Father's Day and birthday card for Dad (his birthday is July 5th, so we figured we could double up). Been a day of mini-disasters like that.
But, other than that, I really can't complain. I got a fair amount done, including:
-->The usual room clean
-->Writing a gift fic for a friend who's birthday is next Friday -- very rough draft, but I have a little time to refine it
-->Getting my Father's Day and birthday cards for Dad
-->Watching some more "Super Sim" episodes (Maxine has found herself a wife, her old childhood friend Hayley, and they've adopted three children together -- Max is now super-close to fulfilling one of the Family aspirations (just one more grandchild to go!); and James tried to turn Max Towers into a penthouse, but too much of the house wouldn't have worked atop a skyscraper, so there's probably going to be a Max Towers 2 in a future episode when he does the "Location" aspiration from City Living)
-->Playing Sims 4 myself -- spent another day at Chell's new bakery, which she and Wheatley are running fairly successfully! I've added a bathroom and a cupcake maker to the lot, which should help with keeping up needs. Best yet, I'm now appropriately caught up for the Seasons patch, and can relax in the safety of my buffer while I wait for my mods to be updated.
-->Taking a late walk/jog -- it was a beautiful summery day out, and I refused to miss out on my exercise. Very nice round the block :)
-->Emptying out my inbox -- so many comments (including one LOOONG one), but I got 'em all done! As of right now, anyway.
-->And technically I'm doing the tumblr RP thing now, but there hasn't been a lot of activity there -- I should check back in shortly, though. Notifications are still all messed up, so -- that's fun. *grumbles*
So yeah -- add in getting a hot fudge sundae thanks to Mom and I picking up the stuff for it for Father's Day, and today's been pretty good. We'll see how tomorrow goes -- if Dad wants to go anywhere or not. I definitely know what I'm doing tomorrow -- "Secundus 2," BioShock 2, and Helloween's full one-shot LP of the newly-released Lust For Darkness (which is also technically a 2, as it's his second look at it after his initial video on the demo). So yeah. I'm booked -- especially if I go ahead and watch the Seasons livestream. Three hours of content, aack. . .
