Quieter Thursday, Whew
Jul. 19th, 2018 11:29 pmJust plodding along with those final reports -- I'm ALMOST done, which is good. Hopefully my coworker can help me with the last bit (she's offered before, but thanks to the size of the reports, I was worried that both of us working on them at once would have thrown up more errors and just made the whole process take longer -- and confused the order of things to boot). Also gotta do credit cards and direct debits tomorrow, but that shouldn't take too long. . . I'm hoping not, at least -- half-day tomorrow, so I gotta make the most of my time.
But yeah, decent enough day at work, and the afternoon/evening was pretty nice too. Got in a solid walk/jog, and got to have chicken tenders for dinner, om nom~ I also:
-->Started edits on Chapter 2 of "Fixing You" -- they're coming along pretty well so far, with Victor bemoaning the fact that Burtonsville considers him hellspawn for his adventure in the Land of the Dead, but London has "mediums" advertising their services, sooo. . .
-->Watched another episode of "Rags to Riches Seasons" by The Sim Supply -- he tried to force a special "tonight someone DIES" episode with the Benedict Cumberbatch Sim (actually named BENEDRYL CRUMPLEBOTTOM XD) and a firework, but a random sprinkler appearing seemingly out of nowhere stopped that plan. So James drowned him in the family's new pool instead. XD Also, baby Lady II aged up into a toddler (and a very cute one!), Scooby was cured of his sickness, and Sebastian completed his "lose weight" resolution via jogging with the dog. And Luna went swinging with Grim (literally, they played on the swing set together). So that was all good. :p
-->I also watched a video by James ranking the 25 (!!) packs we have for The Sims 4 from worst to best, as determined by the votes of his viewers (he set up a poll for everyone a few days ago). As you might expect, "My First Pet Stuff" ranked worst (by a HUGE margin -- only 17% of people liked it, as opposed to 40% for the next pack up, "Spooky Stuff"), and "Seasons" ranked best (James admits this might be because it's a fan-favorite and most recent, but it really is an awesome pack, sooo). I was a little sad to see one of my favorite packs, "Vampires," get a low rating, but I acknowledge not everyone likes the supernatural packs (looking at you, LGR) and vampires breaking in to suck on your Sims' necks can get old. "City Living" made the top ten, which I was happy about -- still think San Myshuno is an awesome-looking world with some great lots. :D
-->Got my Valice Multiverse queue done -- quiet one tonight, but that's okay with me
-->Left some reviews on an old fanfic that I've been meaning to do
And now it's time to finish clearing out my inbox and hit the sheets. Looking forward to coming home early again, that's for sure. Supposed to be nice tomorrow too. . .and then we're getting a tropical air mass over the weekend, meaning humidity, rain, thunderstorms, and general ickiness. Bleh. Hooray for air conditioners, that's all I can say. *nods* Night!
