Well That Explains A Lot
Jul. 28th, 2018 11:32 pmGeneral moodiness and struggling to be creative? Yeah, I'd guessed that I was PMSing, but I didn't realize how close I was to the actual red curse hitting -- came today. Fortunately didn't ruin my clothes, but it hasn't helped my brain any. Took me FOREVER to do any writing, and I ended up doing some personal AU stuff instead of editing more "Technicolor Phase" since it doesn't matter if the stuff I'm writing just for me turns out a bit shit. I do have pretty solid buffer on "Technicolor Phase," so one missed Saturday shouldn't be a problem.
I also ended up not playing Sims today -- largely because I ended up spending a lot of time on the whole "trying to write" business, and then I got caught up in YouTube stuff, and then I didn't want to get into it just before supper because I kinda wanted to do a big thing (I'm seriously thinking of having the Van Dorts and Emmett and Nikal swap lots, because I think my OTP could use the space more than them). So instead, after supper and my shower, I played some more Minerva's Den. Successfully got me a signal beacon, adopted a new Little Sister and protected her during a couple of gathers (which was -- super easy, surprisingly. Not a lot of Splicers showed up to either one. Maybe I've killed too many of them (which I am just fine with, trust me)), got a new Plasmid slot, and found me a machine gun. :D Good times, good times. Now I just have to get past whatever horrible thing Reed Wahl throws at me next. . .
I did watch a fair amount of Sims -- caught up on two episodes of the "Rags to Riches Seasons" LP from The Sim Supply. Sebastian's flower shop is coming along nicely -- James has started to decorate it, and has plans to make another "shop" next to it for Luna's woodworking creations in the future. It's a cool idea and I look forward to seeing it put into action. :) Sebastian and Lady II also celebrated their birthdays, and the gang had a successful Kween's Birthday -- even if James had Seb kick all the holiday gnomes into piles of junk. XD But hey, he got some good minerals and crystals out of it, so win! Now they just have to find a way to pay their $21,000 bills. XD It's a great series, and it makes me want to start another save file so I can start over from the beginning with all the cool stuff now in the game. Currently resisting the urge, simply because of how little time I usually have to play and how long my current idea (which would have Lizzie, Victoria, Emily, and Bonejangles Sims) would take to set up, but maybe in the future. . . Also watched some Kubz Scout stuff, and an interesting OXBox video on video games with shared universes (the original Wolfenstein 64, Commander Keen, and Doom are apparently a shared verse, with all of the protags being from the same family line -- neat!). So that was all a lot of fun.
And now I'm doing the RP thing on tumblr, though I'm not sure how WELL I'm doing it. . . Stupid period brainfog. Well, I'll soldier on as best I can, and maybe call it a bit early tonight. In the meantime, back to seeing what I can do with the threads I have. Night!
