Yes, another double update tonight: Emily Orange of "The Technicolor Phase" (wrapping up what is more or less the "worldbuilding" part of the fic), and the long-awaited Chapter Two of "Fixing You!" Yeah, turns out I was pretty satisfied with those edits I made last week after all. Still had to tweak a few things here and there, but hopefully you guys will enjoy. :)

Glad I got those chapters up -- I don't feel like I had a particularly productive day at work today. Partly because my coworker came back from her vacation and of course wanted to share some details; partly because I kept getting yanked away from my planned activities by other projects, namely Fiscal wanting reports off me. I did get out the file that I needed to get sent out today, but it felt like a close call. And I barely got to work on the stuff the mailing company wants. . .I'll have to dedicate some time to it tomorrow. Although I do have an hour blocked off for training on our new database program. . . Well, we'll see what I can get done. Hopefully at least exporting out the other file. . .

Afternoon was a bit better, if muggier -- I got out for a walk because, with the way the weather is trending, it's going to be indoor workouts for a while, and I was SWEATING when I got back. Never been happier to have a shower. . . I also got a bunch of new tops from my aunt, so I'll have to write her a thank-you tomorrow. Nice thing about two closets is that you don't run out of space for new stuff very quickly. And there's probably some old stuff I can ditch, like a couple of shirts that don't really fit anymore. . .

On the YouTube side, I watched a video by Deli on the new Gallery update to The Sims 4 (looks good, though the tags are a bit glitchy, and there's an issue where the Gallery music doesn't turn off after placing a lot in your game until you go into the Gallery again), and another episode of "Super Sim" (Kareem has maxed three out of five skills; Max has gotten all the votes he needs for his last promotion and attacked a bunch of people dressed like cruise ship tourists for blood/vampire power points XD). Simple but fun -- even as it makes me want to get back into my own game. Just gotta remember, half day on Friday. . .

But I gotta get through Thursday first. So time to clear out what's left in the inbox and head to bed. Night all, sleep tight!

ME: I'm gonna go take a shower.

PHONE: *email waves new chapter message in my face*

ME: YAY! *proceeds to read it before shower* Oh, tell me Splatter's learned his lesson...

*laughs* Well, glad to see you so excited. . .and yes, he has. That was basically his last major appearance. Being choked nearly to death teaches a man a lot of things, and one of them is "stop poking the swell already."

Yup -- working on it now! Victor just got all excited over Alice being able to cast "False Flesh," the disguise spell that makes her look like her Wonderland self. :)

Lizzie can do False Flesh on her own, too, right?

Sort of -- she has the magical power to cast the spell without help, but she doesn't have the natural talent Alice has. She still has to tear up a piece of cloth to trigger the effect, instead of just concentrating.

Yeah, giving Alice the "natural talent, no reagents needed!" version of the power is my way of using my magic system to explain her sudden transformation to "Wonderland Alice" at the end of A:MR -- she was unconsciously using False Flesh to change her appearance.
