crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)

This morning wasn't too bad, but this afternoon. . .the problem is, the moment it starts raining, the drivers around here tend to end up losing their minds to some degree. I ended up having to cut through the city and take the long way around after get honked at by a bus on my tail when I couldn't go through a light because the other side was too clogged up to pass. Ended up getting home around 5:15, and skipping my workout because I was just -- tired. I'm allowed one day off a week, I've been doing some fairly intense workouts, and the weekend's supposed to be pretty nice -- I'll get in some walking then.

Work itself wasn't too bad, though I slowly started to have a lot more moments of "being pulled in five directions at once" as the day went on. The problem is, one of my coworkers is still learning the system, and there's been a lot of changes to pledges and payments as of late. . . I suppose it's good that we're keeping busy, but I'd much prefer to be allowed to focus on one thing. This is the sort of situation that gets us so far behind on roster maintenance. Meh.

On the plus side, I was able to get my weekly story chapters up: Emily Blue for "The Technicolor Phase" (Victor meets Emily at last) and Chapter Six of "Fixing You" (on FF.net and AO3 respectively). And, as a result, I'm pretty far ahead on my VictorLuvsAlice queue, yay. And I got to watch a fun OXBox video on misleading demos (which I realized about halfway through I HAVE seen before, but damn it I still like it), and a friend on tumblr is sharing the good music that might get me through a few Song Saturdays. :) So I guess this afternoon/evening hasn't been so bad, at least. And the rain's supposed to stop at some point tomorrow, sooo. . .fingers crossed the traffic isn't so bad!

Right now, though, it's time to empty out the inbox and head to bed. Need my sleep, after all. . . Night all, sleep tight!
