Sims Yet No Sims Sunday

crossover_chickAs in, I watched a bunch of Sim-related stuff, and got my pictures all ready for this week's update, but I never got around to actually playing Sims 4 myself. Played BioShock Infinite instead, since I didn't get a chance to yesterday. Making good progress through the Hall of Heroes -- once again getting a close-up view at how fucked up Columbia is. Those exhibits on Wounded Knee and the Boxer Rebellion were fun! And by "fun" I mean "incredibly racist and awful." And also full of people who either wanted to shoot me or be shot by me -- the villain of this particular section, Slate, is all about dying a "soldier's death" and thus actually WANTS Booker to slaughter his men -- mostly because he and Booker served in the army together and Slate considers him an actual soldier. He's pissed at Comstock for claiming to be this big hero when apparently the prophet never actually saw action. Also he apparently had a thing for Comstock's wife. It's complicated. But hey, at least I'm getting better at not getting completely wrecked in fights. Even if I still REALLY MISS having more than two guns. At least my vigors continue to do the job. Murder of Crows is so damn useful, let me tell you. Actively annoys me when enemies show up who are immune to it -- but they're usually easy to put down with Devil's Kiss, sooo. . .
Other things accomplished today:
-->Another chunk done on Chapter 7 -- I'm not ENTIRELY sure at this moment whether or not it'll be ready for a Friday post, but we're getting closer! At the very least, we're past Alice telling her family it's okay if they choose to move on without her, and them assuring her they're going to be sticking around for a bit yet, and up to the arrival of Elder Gutknecht. Fingers crossed I can finish the edits in time!
-->Watched the aforementioned Sims stuff -- first, a video comparing how fall was handled between Sims 2, 3, and 4 (by The Red Plumbob, who makes all sorts of videos like this); second, a new entry in the Jim Pickens saga from CallMeKevin, where he goes back to Jim's childhood -- in The Sims! Literally, he made Jim as a kid in the very first entry in the series. It's just as hilariously messed up as the present-day stuff. XD Third was the build of the Bigwallet Farm kitchen, with James explaining some of his design choices (it came out very nicely); and fourth was an actual entry of the "Rags To Riches Seasons" LP! Poor Sebastian basically had to crank out tons of flower arrangements, and then sleep at the store so he could sell them all (missing a few holidays in the process) -- but it paid off, and the family has JUST enough money to move, so long as they sell all of their furniture in the old place. Also he was invited out to the Romance Festival by Benedryl, but James STILL couldn't get the ghost to join the family. >.< Poor guy is basically out of patience -- I fully expect Bendy to be cheated in by the time of the next installment.
-->Also watched Helloween's latest Metroid Prime set -- which, apparently, is earlier on the timeline than previous Metroid games? Interesting. . .anyway, Samus has completed getting all her suit upgrades (finishing with getting her suit accidentally infused with Phazon, which protects her from the radiation from said substance and makes her look super-goth), defeated another boss, and found another artifact! Now that she has basically all the collectibles, it's time to find the rest of the Chozo artifacts, defeat the Space Pirates, and save Tallon IV! We'll see how many sets that takes. :p
-->Got in my walk -- pretty decent day outside! A bit on the cooler side, but pleasant enough for that. I hope it stays like this for a little while -- it's the kind of fall weather I can get behind. (As opposed to the rain we've been having lately. . .)
-->Did my tumblr queues -- and, as stated, got my pictures ready for the Wednesday Sims post. Managed to keep McFly Harvestfest/Marlene aging up to three entries, yay~
-->And currently I'm finishing up answering a few messages and am about to empty my inbox before I go to bed.
So yeah, better get on that last one. Can't believe tomorrow's the first of October. . .hopefully it'll be a decent one! Got a lot to do during it. . . Night all!
