crossover_chick: Alice (Wonderland) looking kind of confused (AMA: WTFery?)

It was a miserably rainy ride in this morning, and work had the usual "can't go a day without issues" bullshit (this time involving possibly duplicated payments on stuff), but it was actually quiet for most of the day, and the GL actually behaved itself. O.o Not to mention the rain stopped around lunchtime, and it got actually fairly nice out by the end of the day. (If a bit on the chilly side -- supposed to get into the 40s tonight.) And the ride home wasn't bad at all. So, yeah, kind of balanced itself out as the day went on.

Not much to report -- it was a quiet evening. Did some more on Chapter 8 -- just about finished with it, yay! So definitely an update next week on "Fixing You." Watched a few YouTube videos as well:

-->The Sim Supply showing highlights from the "terrain tools" stream the Sim Gurus did earlier -- while staying overnight at Deli's place, since they're both going to SimsCamp but their original flight was canceled

-->A fairly awkward and annoying short on "Fun With Shorts" about a marionette learning how to use the telephone -- Josh was as confused as us about why it existed

-->Helloween showing off a new SWERY game he got the key to, The Missing: JJ Macfield and the Island of Memories. It's made by the same guy who made good old Deadly Premonition, so you might expect it to be weird and kind of disturbing -- and you'd be right! It's basically a horror platformer, where one of the game mechanics is -- well, hurting your player character in various ways to solve puzzles. Like throwing her into spikes to remove limbs to throw at an object, or breaking her neck to reverse gravity. It's creepy and strange and kind of lovable all at the same time. Typical of a SWERY game really. Hells did a 40 minute preview, and was talking about streaming it at some point -- I hope he does, or does a proper LP of it. It seems up his alley -- and mine too. (Which means I should probably buy it myself, but -- you guys know me and my gaming time. Or lack of it, really. *sigh*)

And I just did my Valice Multiverse and VictorLuvsAlice queues -- just have to empty out the inbox and I'll be all set! Can't stay up too late tonight, either -- I'm heading to the mall tomorrow (I haven't been in a while and I want to have a fun day trip) and after that Mom and I are going to Savers to find me a vampire cape for my Halloween costume (I'm planning on wearing my old steampunk girl costume for most of it -- I just need a cape and fangs to make it properly vampirey). Add in that's my regular cleaning day, and it's going to be a busy Saturday. Hopefully a good one too, though. *salutes* Night all!
