Smooth Wednesday

crossover_chickAs in "I thought today was supposed to have some truly hellish traffic?" But no -- really easy ride in, and while I hit gridlock on the way home, that was only on Mineral Spring -- the highway was fine. Got home around 3:25, which was just what I'd hoped for. Spent the free hour and a half getting my room all cleaned up, and now I'm set for the long weekend, yay! :) Not even my day at work was that bad -- got a bunch more merges done, poked at our stack of obits, and did some reversals. All pretty useful stuff. And getting to go home early just made it all the more bearable. :)
Most of my evening's been spent listening to music (one of my friends on tumblr did a meme all about naming songs that remind you of characters/ships, so I checked some of that out), though I did get a few productive things done:
-->Got in a workout, which is always good
-->Wrote some more on Chapter 10 -- sent the pair down the slide, yay! Though I ended up having to peek at Helloween's replay of A:MR to see how long and twisty it really -- hey, it's been a while since I personally played the game! And I got to show off Victor getting super excited over the float ability. Bouncing all over the place scattering leaves everywhere~ Getting to write him truly happy is nice, especially since he's got the Issues in this fic.
-->Watched an episode of The Sim Supply's "Rags To Riches: Get Famous" LP -- Lady II's moving on up in life, happily. She now has another empty room on her lot (James hopes to make it look like a trailer eventually), a guitar, and another fame star! She's now a Rising Star and gets free potions in the mail to help boost her skills and suchlike. She's also sort-of in a flirtation with another celeb a little higher up than her named Holly, and her thunder is continually stolen by a big celebrity that keeps showing up at her favorite hot spot. James has expressed a desire to kill the guy for this crime. XD And she's doing much more complex shoots now, such as sexy campfire scenes, and an upcoming western musical! Good stuff, even if James is -- as always -- being a little frustrating with how he won't read stuff properly. *sigh* You could have figured out the phone thing a lot earlier, James. . .
-->Got a bit more of my VictorLuvsAlice tumblr queue done -- everything's set up until the middle of Sunday now! Hooray being ahead! And hooray finding a MST3K short in decent quality to share for the 30th anniversary of the show this Saturday. I'd forgotten just how many of them were put up long enough ago that they're in potato quality.
All right, and now it's time to empty out the inbox and answer some messages -- at least I have a little extra time to do it in! Yay long weekend. Off I go to try getting this all sorted -- night all!
