All Caught Up Sunday
Nov. 25th, 2018 11:14 pmHelped in part that my subscriptions didn't upload any new videos -- I guess Sundays are Helloween and The Sim Supply's days off. I actually ended up watching quite a few YouTube videos (including some classic OXBox lists, and some RabbidLuigi stuff about unfair games and unfinishable ones), but I managed to complete the ones I was missing yesterday:
-->Two OXBox Hitman 2-themed videos -- well, actually, one was from Eurogamer, but it starred Mike from OXBox against Ian from that channel going head to head in a Ghost Mode match. Turns out they're about equally matched in the chaos they create playing that game, to the point where the game gave up on them and glitched out in spawning a victim. Mike somehow managed to win in a tiebreaker round where the first one to get a point won the day. The other was a playthrough of the game's tutorial mission from Jane and Andy -- they took advantage of the fact that there's now knockout poisons in the game to incapacitate everyone in the bathroom via the ventilation system. Including themselves, on the first try. XD But they made it through, and soon we will be onto sweet 3 Ways To Play videos. :D
I also treated myself to some "bonus" Hitman content -- namely, CallMeKevin also being a chaotic mess in a Hitman 2 mission (worse than Mike! Though give him credit, he managed to pull off the statue kill the OXBox team fluffed up); and an old OXBox video where they set up a scenario where they worked as the Diana of a real-life Agent 47 actor to "kill" a drug lord. Mission ended up being put in Mike's hands when they used an automated turret to kill the target instead of a much more stealthy poison kill. XD
-->Two Atop The Fourth Wall episodes, detailing the first appearances of the original Human Torch (not the Johnny Storm one -- this guy's a robot and could be said to be the original Marvel superhero) and Wolverine (as a brief opponent to Hulk in Hulk's ongoing book at the time). Both good, though both featuring rather weird stories (particularly the former, as it was written in the 30s). Upcoming episode is Deadpool -- Linkara seemed so thrilled. XD
-->Helloween's latest Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin quest -- Charlotte has learned many new spells with which to wreck fools, including ice needles (good for long corridors) and rock riots (good for raining death from above). We've also learned the true identity of a plot-important NPC, and of two of the bosses. No new painting worlds this time, but seeing Helloween wreck shit with Charlotte's spells was quite fun enough, thanks. :)
In addition to all the YouTubery, I also got some other stuff done, namely:
-->Finished up rewrites of the "Emily Purple" chapter of "The Technicolor Phase" -- wanted to keep going on that, especially since it's the last "editing" chapter before I write the new ones I've come up with. I'll try to make it so I can get up another chapter on AO3 by Christmastime.
-->Played some more Sims 4 -- sent Eric out and about to work on his Positivity Challenge -- and then was immediately asked out on a date by his love interest Andy. XD Which ended up with them in Selvadorada because the game is glitchy and apparently this bug was not fixed in the latest patch for the patch. *rolls eyes* Well, I ran with it, and Eric's officially had his first kiss with the guy -- AND completed Tier 3 of the Challenge! He just has to do a bunch more good deeds and make a friend to finish it off -- have to do that this upcoming weekend, though. Good thing the challenge runs for another nine days!
-->Got my ValiceMultiverse queue completed, and my pictures for my VictorLuvsAlice Sims update sorted. Yay progress on those fronts.
And now it's time to do the nightly cleaning out of the inbox. Can't stay up too late, though -- work again tomorrow. Full week and a normal-sized weekend, bleh. I've been spoiled. Well, we'll see how December shapes up for time off. . .for now, g'night!
