Decent Enough Sunday

Not a lot to report, honestly -- like most Sundays around here:
-->Caught up on the vast majority of my YouTube videos, including:
A) A bunch of OXBox lists about jerk protagonists, getting to show the bastards who made your life hell at the beginning of the game what-for at the end (which I'd actually already watched and only discovered when I left a comment), and sad boss fights that hit us right in the feels. All good stuff.
B) OXBox taking on the first Hitman 2 elusive target -- Sean Bean! Or, well, Mark Faba, a disgraced MI5 agent, who is played by Sean Bean. He's known as "The Undying" because he's apparently been assassinated 16 times before, but always managed to come back. The whole thing is one big joke on the fact that Sean Bean is most famous for getting roles that end up with him getting offed. XD Jane, Andy, and Mike all managed to take him down -- Andy with his usual consummate professionalism, Jane with her usual mildly chaotic professionalism, and Mike with his usual "I want to blow things up" approach. (And he DID -- lobbed some very explosive liquid right at Mark's head. It was pretty awesome.) XD Loved it.
C) A couple of CallMeKevin videos, including more Hitman 2 (he brought a fish as a melee weapon XD Mike would be proud), and an absolutely baffling PlayStation 2 Bible game (basically a bunch of Bible-themed minigames/trivia all linked together with the framing device of a game show -- it's weird). Very amusing, as usual. XD
D) The latest Atop The Fourth Wall, which looked at Deadpool's rather lame first appearance in a "New Mutants" comic. The Merc with a Mouth certainly talked a lot, but his trademark humor hadn't arrived yet, sooo. . . Not exactly a great first outing. At least Linkara was in good form with his Liefield hate. :p
E) The latest set of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin from Helloween -- today's offering was a trip into a weird creepy circus painting! Which involved going around the edges of a circus stage as everything suddenly goes sideways, then upside-down! It was pretty neat-looking, honestly -- and made it so you had to traverse the sideways and inverted landscapes VERY CAREFULLY. The boss was also creepy -- Legion, the weird monster made of multiple corpses -- but Charlotte took care of him with her spells pretty easily. She's so cool~
F) The latest "Get Famous Rags To Riches" set from The Sim Supply -- Lady II has STILL not won a Starlight Accolade! Being snubbed at every turn, I swear. . . She has, however, advanced to the rank of Global Superstar, aka Five Star Celebrity! She's got a diamond on the local walk of fame and everything! . . .And she's still living out of a trailer park as she's not earning a massive amount of cash at acting OR music production. XD James has decided desperate times call for desperate measures and is having her grow a money tree so she can finally move to the mansion she's always wanted. Also, the twins have aged up into kids, so Lady should finally be able to take care of her needs. XD About time, huh?
-->Wrote some more on Chapter 10 -- completed the Looking-Glass Land section! Chess piece brawls are complicated but fun to write. XD Next up is the Mysterious East -- I couldn't pass up a chance for bug-loving Victor to meet the Origami Ants. :) I think I'll probably FINISH the chapter this week, but it's probably not going to be in time to POST it. At least I know it'll be ready for the 14th this way -- and I can start on various gift fic ideas too.
-->Played some BioShock Infinite -- everybody, as usual, wants me dead. Except Elizabeth, who apparently wants me to kill her if the Songbird comes and tries to take her away again. She is THAT DETERMINED never to go back to the tower. It was a -- powerful moment. I'm not as invested in the story as I was in previous games, but I do like Elizabeth. She feels very much like a sheltered but strong-willed and intelligent lady, who's been thrown into the deep end regarding all the shit parts of the City of Sky Racists.
-->And, in a rare turn of events, I've managed to clear out the inbox (mostly) and get my ValiceMultiverse queue set BEFORE writing this! Go me. So now it's time to go to bed and prep for another full week of work. Hopefully it won't be too Mondayish tomorrow. . . Night all!

Date: 2018-12-04 05:54 pm (UTC)According to the Internet, Graham is from Essex and moved to Sheffield when he became a bus driver, so that's a no.
Ryan is the grandson of Graham's wife, Grace, who died in 12 + 1's first episode when she essentially saved everyone cuz she's an Awesome Lady. There isn't any information on her background so that could be a maybe. She's black, which isn't of any significance except for the fact that Radcliffe seems have racist tendencies.
Oh, also, I saw you mentioned that Sheffield is a steel town in Remembering You. 5 + 8's sonic screwdriver? It's made out of Sheffield steel. She welded it herself.
(I'm trying to be mindful of FV-Victor's feelings and not use the actual number, heh)

(It's all cool :p)
