crossover_chickI've been grumpy for the majority of the day (though, admittedly, work did NOT help -- more pledge billing annoyances, including some stuff on how we handle people with multiple pledges, and the usual slow build-up of work for me to do distracting me from OTHER work I need to do), and now this evening I've been WAAAY more tired than I normally am. Couple that with me having trouble getting out the one gift fic rough draft I managed this evening, and. . .yeah, I'll be quite surprised if my period doesn't show up this weekend -- early next week at the latest. PMS sucks.
On the plus side, I did get that rough draft done -- even if I change things around completely later, writing was accomplished and I have an idea. I also caught up on Helloween's latest Doom (2016) set -- apparently the villains of this piece decided Hell could be used as an energy source to solve a crisis. Doom Guy is deeply unimpressed. I mean, he never says anything, but you can tell from all the smashing. He also has acquired thrust boots, giving him the delightful double jump! And new ways to fall down holes, with Helloween. XD Most of the set was a large climb through machinery up a giant tower, and while he did reasonably well, there were a few -- incidents. XD Did kill a lot of demons, though. And got himself a super shotgun, yay~ It delivers the business like no one's business~ I also fit in an OXBox list about games that occasionally took the idea of realism a touch too far (like Deadly Premonition making you watch your gas gauge, or Red Dead Redemption 2 making you put a LOT of effort into hunting if you want a good pelt. And showing the skinned animal in a disturbing amount of detail.) So that was fun.
I'm also all caught up on my queues currently, and just went through all the inbox stuff, so yay me. And that's with fighting the tired/my desire to just read through all the tags on a particular tumblr blog at the moment. But I will prevail and finish this post, then see about anything else I have to do before going to bed. Hopefully I'll manage to get back some of my energy for tomorrow -- I've got a fic chapter to post, after all. At least it's in the final "just minor tweaks" phase of editing. *yawn* Night all!
