Surprise Lazy Saturday

crossover_chickThough for a weird reason -- I didn't get caught up in TV Tropes, as is the norm with Lazy Saturdays, but instead in rereading my own old fanfic. ^^; I decided I wanted to reread a few particular scenes in the Forgotten Vows Verse, and -- things just spiraled from there. Oops. Did not help that today was one of those days I couldn't get mind-controlled Victor off my mind, which kind of short-circuits every other creative endeavor. Or that my dad was in a bad mood because of an asshole online and thus the atmosphere outside of my room was tense for much of the day. *sigh* Well, it's the start of a long weekend after what was practically a vacation for me -- I can afford to have days like this. And I did get some key stuff done:
-->A bit of vacuuming -- just vacuuming, mind. I figured, it's the end of the year, it's just past my birthday, my room is pretty damn clean -- let me just take care of the rug. I'm allowed from time to time!
-->A bit of writing, though it was of the "private AU thing only I'm going to see" variety (see the "couldn't get mind-controlled Victor off my mind" comment).
-->A bit of Sims 4 -- finished up my combination restaurant/bowling alley/skating rink! Lighting the place was a bit of a bitch, as I wanted to use a specific light, but I had to use a LOT of them to get the place lit properly. . . and in the end I ended up adding a smattering of less-fancy lights just to make sure inconvenient shadows were kept to a minimum. I think the place looks halfway decent, though -- I'm going to have Eric visit on his final play day so I can show it off. :p Maybe a date with Andy? Would be nice to go on an "official" one initiated by Eric. . .
-->A bit of The Sim Supply and the "Get Famous Rags To Riches" LP -- Lady is settling into her new place in The Pinnacles. She's got her stan (James was very pleased), she's gone to a talent showcase in San Myshuno (which was basically "go ahead and do something on the guitar now" without any indication anything special was going on), she's hired a butler (whom James can never find when the family needs something), she's hosted a charity ball (by accident -- James meant to schedule it for a later date, but forgot you can only do that on the calendar; he got Bronze on it thanks to everyone paying more attention his self-Sim telling jokes as the hired comedian than Lady's requests for donations. Also Semaj stole one of Lady's televisions.), and she's been welcome to the neighborhood -- by THORNE AND OCTAVIA (aka her ex and her ex's fiancee -- relations were surprisingly civil, though. Possibly because Thorne hung out mainly with his kids). A pretty scattered set, but a pretty amusing one as well. XD
-->A bit of "Fun With Shorts" -- a rhyming "Stranger Danger" cartoon, nothing too fancy. :p
And I'm currently doing a bit of the RP thing on tumblr. Got some stuff to answer over here too, actually, so let's get on that as well. We'll see if Sunday's any less lazy! Though I suppose I should get them in while I can, since soon enough I'm going to be back to the usual "two days only" weekends. . .meh. Night all!
