2019 Begins. . .

With a trip to my Auntie Ann's house! Yeah, since we hosted her and my uncle on Thanksgiving, she wanted to repay on the favor on New Year's with dinner. So I ended up spending most of my day there, eating and listening to everyone talk about their jobs and the state of the world. I, uh, never say that much at these events -- my aunt and my mom are both pretty loud people who can carry on like three conversations at once, so unless someone directly asks me a question, I don't usually get much of a word in edgewise. ^^; The food was decent, though (got some chocolate chip oatmeal cookies to take home), and I picked up the last of my Christmas and birthday gifts:
-->The new bag that I asked for to replace my Alice In Wonderland-themed one that was falling apart; this one's a very swanky Tim Burton-themed bag! Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice In Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and of course Corpse Bride. :) Pictures will be forthcoming soon!
-->$21 -- $1 with the bag, as apparently it's unlucky to give something like that without money to put in it, and $20 in my birthday card as my aunt didn't want to give me a "combo gift." Hey, I'll take it!
So that was nice. Can't say I didn't get some good stuff this holiday season. :)
Anyway, we finally managed to tear ourselves away and get home around 5:45, where I promptly had to start making muffins because I do have work tomorrow and I need breakfast. I also:
-->Watched an OXBox "2018 in gaming" quiz -- Andy as the quizmaster, Mike and Jane as the contestants. As you might expect from an Andy quiz, there was a Red Dead Redemption 2 round, and a round on video game beards. XD Jane managed to get more right than poor Mike -- ah well, always next year!
-->Watched the latest Atop the 4th Wall, where Linkara detailed more missed opportunities from past episodes (including a chemistry lesson on bleach to explain why one of Crazy Steve's antics in "All Star Batman and Robin" wouldn't have worked). Nice way to wrap up the anniversary year! Even if it technically came out earlier today. XD Still. . .
-->Got another chunk done on Chapter 11 of "Fixing You!" I strongly doubt I'll finish in time to post the chapter this week, but next week is definitely looking like a go. :)
-->Made my fic resolutions for 2019 on tumblr -- they boil down to: "Finish 'Fixing You,' 'The Technicolor Phase,' and those snippets from your Holistic Assassin!Alice AU, then buckle down on 'Secundus 2' so you can maybe post the first chapter by next Christmas." I think this is a good plan.
-->Got my Sims update queued up on tumblr -- no mean feat, as it was four posts long! But then again, Eric does go out on patrol, solve another case, AND get a dog in this update, sooo. . . Did mean that I couldn't get to my Valice Multiverse queue, but heck with it -- I was out most of the day, and I shifted the queue on that last week too for Christmas -- I can do the same for New Year's. NEXT week I'll get back in line with everything.
Okay, just gotta clean up inbox comments and hit the sack! Short week, but it's sure to be a full one. Running solo again tomorrow. . .hopefully things won't ramp up too fast with the new Appeal on the horizon. *gulp* *deep breath* One thing at a time, Vic. Night all!
