Friday In A Nutshell
Jan. 11th, 2019 11:35 pmMe: Ooof -- that was a day that wouldn't quit! So much to do. . .but at least I figured out a few things that were bugging me, answered a few questions, helped with a few batches, stuff like that. Now I've got the weekend, if I can stop feeling so tired.
My Period: Hi, I decided to come a bit earlier this month, hope you don't mind.
Me: . . .Are you the reason I've been suddenly and strangely nostalgic about Makin' Magic from The Sims?
My Period: I -- might be making the feelings STRONGER, but I honestly think that's just you.
Yeah, so, I'm kind of in a "just want to snuggle into my bathrobe and veg" state. Fortunate it IS the start of the weekend and I can do that if I so desire. At least I got my replies drafted during lunch, and the latest chunk of "Fixing You" Chapter 12 written before the actual blood hit. (Coming close to the end of the chapter -- I'm actually kind of proud of this ending scene. It paints a pretty vivid picture, if I do say so myself.) And my Valice Multiverse queue wasn't particularly huge either, whew. It can be a struggle to be creative during this time of the month, at least for the first couple of days. Bleh.
Anyway -- kind of a stressful day, but not too bad -- as stated, I got a fair bit done, and we're in a good place to clean up the last of everything on Monday morning. Also cold as FUCK -- very glad we got the new gloves! Going out bare-handed today would not have been a good idea. Brrr. . .and I feel it even worse when I'm on the rag. >( Treated myself to hot chocolate and one of the "triple-berry" muffins Mom made tonight while watching a bunch of Bloodborne lore and general cool things videos -- good stuff (both food and videos). Might have ice cream tomorrow, though -- I didn't see exactly what kind Mom got, but it has M&Ms, so it should be good.
Okay, this is turning a bit into stream of consciousness rambling. . .which, granted, is kind of what a journal is FOR, but I generally try to keep it a bit more structured. Gonna go clear out the inbox and then -- probably either more videos or TV Tropes. Or both. Depends on how late I stay up. *shrug* Night all!
