A Decent Monday I Suppose
Jan. 14th, 2019 11:20 pmAs usual, my day was spent handling little issues and chipping away at the catch-up I still need to do. On the plus side, I've gotten almost all of the pre-end-of-December checks sorted, plus a TON of stuff for one of the parish's campaigns. Still got a few things to handle, but slowly but surely I'm working the pile back down. Booyah. Hopefully by the end of this week I'll be pretty much all set and into the new year with gifts. *nods* And seriously, having another person there -- I get stressed out, but not nearly as much as I did alone. Being able to offload some of the work makes all the difference.
Back home, I got in a solid workout, had supper, then did my writing -- Victor and Alice have entered the Church Of The Broken Heart. Victor's getting a pictorial reminder of all his various romance-related screw-ups over the years, poor guy. And Barkis is about to show up and make things worse. At least I get to write Old Bigchin getting utterly wrecked by Victor and Alice right afterward. :D
After that was the YouTubes -- and The Sim Supply is back! As I suspected, he was taking a vacation of sorts. Which means he had basically forgotten everything he was doing in his LP when he loaded back in. XD He accomplished a few things, though! Namely, Lady II's had her last child, Banana Bigwallet (renamed from Josie); Blueberry and Brussels have become teenagers; and Lady's gotten her TV back from Semaj (thanks to having had Banana with him and getting an interaction that I guess is only available to family, which she technically is). You know, all the important stuff. XD He admitted that he's probably going to wrap up the series in a couple of episodes, though, as he's not sure where to go with it now that Lady's super-rich and super-famous -- also the save game appears to be getting glitchy. Methinks the next generation of Bigwallets may have to live in a different file. . . Ah well, I'll happily follow this series to the end. It's been a very amusing ride. XD
Also an amusing ride -- Helloween and Splatterhouse (2010)! More over-the-top gore in an evil carnival with clown monsters and a few knock-off Deep Ones. It's all so icky and yet so great. XD And the banter between the Mask and Rick remains top-notch. Jim Cummings does such a good job in this game. . .I feel bad that it never got a sequel. It may not be perfect, but what it does right, it does right.
Most of the rest of my evening's been catching up on various websites and getting the majority of my Sims 4 posts on tumblr sorted. 3 out of 4, not bad -- and I'll probably at least get a start on the fourth tonight. Can finish it up tomorrow when I switch the number in the queue. . .right now, though, gotta clear out the inbox and prepare for the sleeps. Here's hoping tomorrow turns out to be pretty decent too. Night all!
