Still Kinda Sick And Grouchy

crossover_chickFairly stressful day at work too, with me scrambling to get all the stuff I needed to get done, done, through a conference call to resolve a matching gift issue, and waiting on source codes, and being interrupted by coworkers. . . BUT, I did get on pretty much every check I was waiting on something for, meaning we're in a good place to close out the end of last year, hurrah. So stressful, but productive in the end. And at least my cold didn't hold me back too much -- I'm still kind of stuffy and bleh, but I got through the whole day without too much fuss. (My coworkers were suggesting that I go home early, since I'm in the "don't sound so hot" phase of things -- part of me wanted to, but the other part was like "and WHO would do your job, pray tell?") At least now it's the weekend, and I can spent the majority of it sitting around on my butt. :p Three days too, hooray. Would have needed that even if I wasn't sick.
Still managed to get a decent chunk done on Chapter 13 of "Fixing You," at least -- fight scene with Barkis. Alice and Victor keep getting in good hits, but it's not quite enough to take down our favorite evil "lord." They have to puzzle out his weakness first. . .which isn't that hard of a puzzle, but then again he's the first boss, so. . . (I just hope I don't look at this after I'm done with my cold and go "what the hell was I thinking?")
I also watched the latest episode of "The Adventures Of Thorne Bailey," from The Sim Supply -- Thorne's completed the Musical Genius aspiration, and become a Proper Celebrity again thanks to constantly streaming from his Celebrity House with his new drone. Which clipped into his head at one point while he was getting a drink and made it look like he had one of those Daft Punk-style helmets. James was most amused. XD He also aged up Orange to a Young Adult, then did the same with his girlfriend Trash (yes, her name is literally Trash -- she's Semaj's daughter with Barbie. I don't understand it either :p). And then had Thorne START FLIRTING WITH TRASH. I swear, the man is just living for the drama he's creating with these Sims now. XD There was also a new "Fun With Shorts" -- another "classic" Lone Ranger cartoon short, about Native Americans nearly going to war with a local fort because two assholes stole from their burial ground. As you might imagine, it was incredibly stupid and racist and ripe for mocking. :p
All right -- queues are set on both tumblrs, so that's good. Gonna clear out the inbox, then do a thing with a friend. Not much of a thing, as I am still sick, but -- a thing. :P Night all -- let's hope I feel a bit better in the morning!
