Both in schedule -- back to work tomorrow -- and in health -- my cold's like 85% gone? At the very least, I felt a lot more "me" today, with less needing to blow my nose and only the occasional cough. Very glad this thing chose to strike quickly and leave quickly. And that I didn't have to feel miserable at work for more than a couple of days. Not the ideal state for a three-day-weekend, but -- as I've stated before -- lounging around on my bum watching Frasier clips does seem to be just what the hypothetical doctor ordered. Though, again, I managed to do a bit more than that today:

-->I finished off Chapter 13 of "Fixing You" -- Victor and Alice talking about how convinced Victor is that there's something about him that will drive Alice away, and Victor telling her that it is bad but he thinks they can finish it off together. And then a bit of "yay teamwork." :p I also got Chapter 14 prepped (not as long as I thought! Only ten pages currently), and ended up rereading a bunch of older bits from various parts of the series. I find it a touch embarrassing how quickly I can get sucked into rereading my OWN WORK. XD Weirdly enough, though, I'm thinking that I might actually work on "The Technicolor Phase" tomorrow -- if only because Wednesday I'm going back to posting on that (now that I have the missing chapters rough-drafted in), and Thursday I'll be posting Chapter 13, so if I started Chapter 14 on Tuesday, I wouldn't get back to it until Friday. Might as well just push it back to Friday then, right? And get a head start on editing the new bits of "Technicolor Phase" so I can keep that update schedule fairly consistent.

-->I played another fairly low-key round of Sims 4 -- Nikal spent a lot of it running around in her underwear. XD She did a bunch more woodworking and taught Einstein how to fetch, while Emmett did some computer stuff, some gardening stuff, and some various house upgrades. :p Nothing too MAJORLY exciting, but it's nice to have some updates where I don't have to mess with my VictorLuvsAlice queue too much.

-->Watched Deligracy design a cute "tiny" house (I put that in quotes as, while it's small, I don't think it QUITE fits the definition) on a gorgeously landscaped "farm" lot. It was a very nice house, but it was built around some custom content ladders she found online. Which would have been fine, except the ladders are purely DECORATIVE. So the Sims can't actually use the upstairs without cheats. Which. . .house looks nice, but I prefer ones that work. *sigh* This wouldn't happen if YOU'D just give us ladders, EA. . .

-->Also watched The Sim Supply give a tutorial on roofing! He made a weird-shaped house and went over the ways he'd go ahead and roof it, getting into how you can adjust the pitch, and the eves, and the curvature, and all that fun stuff. Admittedly, my main takeaway was "if you don't want to spend five million years fiddling with all sorts of different roof styles to get one that looks all right, either go flat-modern or make sure everything is a box of some description" but still. XD At least I should be a LITTLE better at it if I keep his tricks in mind.

-->Made chocolate muffins! Mostly because I didn't have a lot of chocolate chips and nobody wanted to go outside to get more if we didn't have to -- it was in the NEGATIVE NUMBERS outside with the wind chill. *shudders* I made sure not to put a foot outdoors today. It's supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow -- at least get into the 20s -- but still. Brrrr. . . So yeah, Mom printed me up a recipe for making full-on chocolate muffins instead. Mom and Dad thought they came out really well -- they certainly got pretty big! Hopefully they'll taste just as good in the morning. . .

-->Got my VictorLuvsAlice queue updated through the first part of Thursday (note what I said about having some Sims 4 updates where I don't have to mess with the number of posts being queued). Hooray for again keeping ahead of things!

And now I just have to clear out the inbox before going to bed! Gonna try tonight without any cold medicine -- I think I'm better enough to go without, and I don't want to be feeling super groggy tomorrow morning when I have to drive. They've been sanding the roads all day, but it's sure to still be a little icy. . .as long as I make it in and back without cracking up. *nods* Night all, and stay warm! (Or cool, depending on your local climes.)
