Yes, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part has been seen! Though it was a touch trickier than I expected -- mostly because a) I got to the mall a little later than intended thanks to a combination of me deciding to change my sheets before we left, and there being heavier-than-usual traffic around the city because of a road race they were having, and b) the mall was PACKED today! Like, people everywhere! This didn't affect the actual movie too much (though there were more people in the theater than I expected), but it did affect my lunch plans. Namely, I got in too late and there were too many people already in the food court for me to HAVE a proper lunch. I ended up getting a combo deal at the concession stand -- soda, small popcorn (which I devoured during the previews) and a bag of Snickers Bites. Not exactly the HEALTHIEST meal, but -- eh, it's a Saturday at the movies. One instance of eating like that won't kill me.

As for the movie itself: I enjoyed it! It's basically more silly fun along the lines of the first movie, with some surprisingly deep and uplifting messages about growing up and not letting your desire to be "tough and mature" take you and your loved ones down. And it contains a very good amount of LEGO Batman. We all love LEGO Batman. XD

Also, since the story involves time travel, we get a brief BTTF cameo! :D Along with a bunch of other famous time machines -- but it's the flux capacitor that is held up specifically when the villain says they'll just keep going back in time until their evil plan goes perfectly. This DOES muddy the waters even more between the LEGO world and the "real" world (it's not made super clear whether the time travel is a plot device of Finn's for his initial story, or if the villain managed to do something that affected the HUMAN world from the LEGO side; and part of the final confrontation takes place on the human side of things, with the minifigures struggling to move under their own power), but I've decided the best way to handle that part of the narrative is the MST3k Mantra. XD Though it does make me want to see fics where Finn and Bianca (his sister) encounter the living versions of Emmet, Lucy, and the others. . .

So yeah, that was a fun day out. :D And then I came home and proceeded to binge on the TV Tropes pages for the movie and look up and listen to a bunch of the songs. XD "Catchy Song" definitely lives up to its name! I also watched some videos on easter eggs and little details one might miss in the movie. It's been a very LEGO day. :p

I did manage to peel myself away from the world of Bricksburg/Apocalypseburg for a bit to do some other stuff:

-->Didn't get any "regular" writing done, but I edited the latest Scene From Secundus: 64. Healing so thoroughly that I think it counts. Combination of "this thing's a few years old; I'm sure I can make it better" and "okay, let's see if I can do something that makes it fit the prompt at least a LITTLE." Got plenty of practice at the latter with "The Technicolor Phase," anyway!

-->Got my VictorLuvsAlice queue set up for the next few days, which is always good

-->Started tackling the MASSIVE AMOUNT OF COMMENTS left in my inbox -- someone recently discovered my Secundus fics and has been very loyally reviewing them. XD I've managed to make it through all the comments left on the latter half of "Secundus" itself. Now I just have to tackle those on "Scenes From Secundus." (Just 13 so far, but I expect more.)

-->Reset my alarm clock and my watch necklace for Daylight Savings Time tonight (spring forward). Kinda annoying to lose an hour, but I'll take less glare on my evening commute any day!

And I've got the RP tumblr up in case people hit me up there, so yeah. Now I've got to go finish answering all those AO3 comments and do the RP stuff I have here. Slowly but surely working my way through it all! But first I think I'm gonna get some water -- I'm thirsty. (I blame the movie theater popcorn -- tasty, but SALTY. Woof.) Night all!
