I finished BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea Chapter 2 today. I figured, I feel like I'm close to the end -- I might as well, right? And that turned out to be a good decision, as I was SUPER close to the end -- took me less than twenty minutes to get to the ending, and that was largely because I was looking for collectibles and didn't want to go down the creepy hallway of abandoned Gatherer's Garden machines that led me to the final cutscene. "Would You Kindly" has been delivered into Atlas's hands, and Elizabeth been beaten to death with a wrench -- but content in the knowledge that Jack is coming, and that -- at least for her -- the good ending of BioShock is canon and Sally will be saved. (Yeah, Atlas/Fontaine actually let the kid go. Color me surprised.) As the achievement hinted, her debt from Chapter 1 has been repaid in full.

. . .Too bad my brain immediately ruined everything by pointing out, "Hey, you know, Elizabeth should have still had access to all her Plasmids, even if the gang took away her guns. That was the whole theme of the first real BioShock boss fight, after all! Wouldn't it have been so much cooler if she'd Possessed Atlas, and he'd woken up later surrounded by all the bodies of his men, Elizabeth having legged it with Sally?" *sigh* Plus I'm REALLY not sure that the timeline presented in Burial At Sea makes sense with the one presented in the original BioShock. Not enough time seems to have passed between Elizabeth's adventures down there, and Jack's plane crash. It's like, the Little Sisters didn't like the Big Daddies almost up to the moment he arrived? What about the Alphas?? It seems like more than just a few weeks have passed since Atlas and company bombed the Kashmir restaurant. . . *shrug* I don't know. It was an enjoyable DLC for what it was, but -- much like the main game -- I think the plot could have used a little tightening. Some stuff seemed to be more about "making a point" than actual logic. Which, fine, Elizabeth is self-sacrificing and everything, but still. My favorite of the series is still BioShock 2. Delta, Eleanor, Mark Meltzer -- you have my heart forever.

So yes, the age of BioShock has ended! This weekend -- THE AGE OF FALLOUT BEGINS! About fricking time. :p

Anyway, other things I did today:

-->Watched Jay from the Kubz Scouts play some super-early builds of Yandere Simulator, including "the creepiest school corridor ever" and "blue-haired Yan-Chans ripe for the picking off." He ended looping right back around to the first build he ever made a video on, which was kind of neat. :)

-->Watched a video detailing what happened after the events of Vampire: the Masquerade -- Bloodlines -- basically, a good number of characters died (and then were retconned back to life by later material -- but as these retcons include saving Beckett, best vampire, I will allow them), Jeannette and Therese ended up owners of a whole Asylum nightclub franchise, and LA became a proper Anarch Free State again after some more drama. Also, Jeanette and Lacroix apparently canonically had sex. I'm -- not sure what to do with this information. O.o I also watched someone else's reactions to the Bloodlines 2 announcement -- so far, most opinions seem to be "the stated features of the game sound awesome, character creator especially -- but we're a little iffy on your preorder DLC and hope you really can handle some of the issues you want to present well. Also some people are pissy that the game is trying to be inclusive, but we ignore those assholes." I remain cautiously excited. This is going to be an interesting year.

-->Got out for a walk! Yeah, it was in the high 50s today, so when my parents got home from an antiquing run, we all went up to the big local park and did the loop. Said local park proved to be MOBBED with people (and babies, and dogs) desperate to get outside while the weather was halfway decent. Can't blame them -- it hasn't been a particularly snowy winter, but it has been pretty chilly (with some dangerously cold days). So that was nice :) I missed getting out and just listening to the iPod. Really looking forward to when the weather improves enough that I can do that regularly again.

-->Wrote some more on Chapter 18 -- the gang's in the registrar's office, though Victoria's insisted Alice hide until it's time to actually sign the papers. Gotta make it feel a little like a wedding. :p Man, feels funny to be finally up to the point of getting this particular pair married. . .but in a good way. :p

-->Played Sims 4 -- look, I said the BioShock Infinite section was short, didn't I? So why not do a bit more with StrangerVille? Chell successfully impressed a military man with her muscles and grabbed an infection scanner -- she's now collecting spores to get the necessary filter for the hazmat suit. She also had a whim to meet with her club, Powerhouse -- I figured, it's been ages since I did a club meeting, so I went ahead and had one! Didn't last long (partially because Mom called me to dinner and I had to wrap things up quickly), but still -- she got out and about. I also gathered up the pictures for my next Newcrest Adventures update on the tumblr -- ALL 50 OF THEM. To be fair, a LOT happened last weekend between Chell and Wheatley getting the first basement level open in the secret lab, the family celebrating Spookfest, and attending the Humor and Hijinks festival, but yikes. Gonna have to buckle down tomorrow to get that queue sorted!

-->Watched a video on various things people have asked the Sims Gurus -- and discovered that you can apparently click on certain boats in Brindleton Bay to visit certain places?! StrangerVille mystery is being placed on hold for a bit next playsession so I can test that out. The Gurus also indicated that, yes, they are aware of some of the worst bugs in the game; and yes, they'd like to tweak how emotions work too, considering how happy Sims are all the time. :p Me, I just want them to add Frightened in already. It's ridiculous that Sims are TENSE during fires. *sigh*

-->And watched a trio of Call Me Kevin videos -- another shot at Sims 1 on PS2 (he actually got out of his mother's house in this play-through, but struggled with how judgemental the game was regarding him fulfilling his goals -- seriously, Sims scolding you all the time if you don't complete everything NOW NOW NOW); and two videos back from when he added Seasons to his Sims 4 game (Jim Pickens created his own "Dear Leader" holiday intended to make everyone praise him, then started Death Day with the world's coldest pool party in the dead of winter XD). All hilarious stuff.

So yeah, that's been my day! Not a bad Sunday at all. Time to wrap things up and hit the sheets. Shorter work week, yay -- and my other coworker should finally be coming back, so that's nice too. Fingers crossed it's a decent day tomorrow! Night all!
