Sort Of Getting Back To Normal At Work

crossover_chickMy one coworker, who was out for ages with an injury, has returned!
. . .my other coworker is currently out for medical reasons. *sigh* She's hoping she can come back tomorrow, though. I hope so too -- would be nice to have a COMPLETE office again. At least, until I take my day off. :p Even with one of us still being missing, though, it was a decent day -- again, not too busy, and I was able to get some gifts on and help my returned coworker out with some matching gift questions. She actually got me a little plant too, and a gift card to Kohl's. It's a touch embarrassing, but nice to be appreciated, as well. Especially after how many days I've had where I've felt like I was being run into the ground. Very glad the trend's currently being bucked for this week.
Not warm enough for a walk outside when I got home, so I did an indoor workout -- pretty intensive too. Then we had supper, and then I worked some more on Chapter 18 -- the actual wedding part has occurred! Took me a bit to get started (trying to word Victor's impressions of Emily and Victoria as brides as compared to Alice was more difficult than expected), but once I got going. . .damn it, I got the feels. And then the giggles as Victor just caught himself from dropping the ring again. XD Six pages in and going strong!
Nothing new in my subscriptions tonight, but I did find some stuff in the recommendations -- namely:
-->The latest episode of Atop The Fourth Wall, covering the first three episodes of Hellstar Remina -- if I say it's a Junji Ito comic, that probably tells you all you need to know. To get into a BIT more detail, it's the story of Remina, who gets a planet that came through a wormhole named after her by her astronomer dad, and becomes famous as a result -- and then the planet turns out to be an eldritch planet-eating monstrosity and everyone decides it's her fault somehow and wants to murder her. Or, in the case of some of her "fans," rape her. It's -- unpleasant and bleak. Well-done for what it is, but damn. On the other hand, the body horror is kept to a minimum, and Ito does some TERRIFYING body horror, so I am grateful for that. And Linkara's jokes. Those are good too. :p
-->The same woman who did the "this is what happens after Bloodlines in preparation for the sequel" video doing a recap of her trip to the announcement party for said sequel, which involved quite a lot of silly Photoshop fun. XD Turns out it was basically this big roleplay event related to their initial Alternate Reality Game (revolving around a dating app, Tender, with lots of blood imagery and an emphasis on people's emotional states), where people got to do quests to earn V:tM-themed badges and have fun with the various weirdness set up around the location before they did the big reveal. She linked the livestreamed event for people who wanted to see it -- so I went ahead and took a gander at said big reveal! It was pretty cool -- the founder of the app was outed as a vampire by his former partner (including a big reveal of the place being soaked in "blood" via UV light); the founder then attempted to kill said partner, confident he could make everyone present just forget; and then some OTHER vampires actually came to her aid because I guess nobody liked Malcolm Chandler. XD And then they showed the big reveal trailer for Bloodlines 2, which -- it may be cinematic, but it is awesome as well. :) Damn it, I'm trying NOT to get too hyped, but -- you know me. Vampires or dragons, and I'm happy. XD
That did take up a fair chunk of my evening, though -- fortunately I still had enough time to finish up the Massive Newcrest Adventures Update (I mean, I only had ONE post to go) and get my queue sorted for The Valice Multiverse. So that's good. And I should have enough time to finish emptying my inbox too. Let's hope Wednesday continues this "decent day at work" streak! Night all!
