crossover_chickHelped immensely by BOTH my coworkers being in! Yeah, they're both in less than 100% great shape, but we can all help each other and catch up things together, which -- man, it's nice having that load off. I spent most of the morning refreshing one of their memories on how to do the GL so I don't have to worry about it on my day off, yay. And the rest was largely looking stuff up with occasional phone answering. I even got a batch of gifts on, amazingly enough. So yeah, pretty well pleased with how today turned out. Fingers crossed tomorrow follows the pattern!
Evening's also been pretty solid:
-->Wrote some more on Chapter 18 -- wrapped up their group's trip to the registrar's office and sent them back to Houndsditch for their reception. The kids made a nice banner for Victor and Alice -- everyone say "aww." :) And naturally June's over the moon -- which makes up for Victor's parents being anything but. Yes, I didn't write them attending their son's wedding -- I don't want them there, and frankly neither do Victor or Alice, really.
-->Watched Helloween's final Resident Evil 2 REmake set, featuring Ghost the Ghost Survivor -- he's one of the team Hunk was on during the ill-fated mission to retrieve the G-virus. He manages to survive in this timeline, and even secure the sample Ada dropped in the game. Of course, then it became a race against time to get out of the facility before it self-destructed. . . Fortunately, Helloween was able to handle the zombies better this time, and completed this scenario, getting Ghost safely to the tram. Where he was promptly mugged by Ada for his sample. XD Well, she doesn't explicitly KILL him, from what I see, so -- win?
-->Went and tracked down the Ghost Survivor that Hells wasn't interested in showing us -- mostly because it happens to be an arena shooter in the opening prologue level, the gas station, and one has to kill ONE HUNDRED zombies to win it. He said it's not fun to watch unless the person playing is good at that, and he isn't -- so I looked up someone who was! It's actually pretty cool -- the first zombie victim you meet, Sheriff Daniel Corsini, gets a second chance at life. Granted, he has to spend most of that second chance fighting hordes of zombies -- including EVERY kind of "special" zombie from the other Ghost Survivor scenarios -- but if he wins, he's saved at the last moment by Leon and presumably gets to be the other player character in this new reality. XD Fun stuff, and a fitting send-off to my regular dose of RE2 REmake content.
-->Also watched some CallMeKevin videos -- his first foray into the world of Fallout 76 (his character, Grognak, was a scowling nudist who ran around the wasteland getting involved in high-level quests while he just waited for the moment he could kill people -- and then died horribly XD), and another episode of the Peter Jackson's King Kong game (game remains a hilariously glitchy mess with everyone and everything -- including the player character! -- spinning. Also Jack Black's digital self keeps glitching out and stopping the story in its tracks. It's utterly delightful and I love it XD).
-->Got my VictorLuvsAlice queue sorted through the beginning of SUNDAY -- now that's progress! Though it helps when I don't have a fanfic chapter that needs posting, and I already have some ideas for what I want to do on Thursday and Friday. . . Still, nice not to have to worry about it until Saturday evening. :)
So yeah, no real complaints here! Just gotta take care of the inbox stuff, and I'm all set. :) Again, hoping tomorrow is decent as well. . .and even if it isn't, there's a three day weekend on the other side of it. Yay. Night all!
