I'm Sick AND On My Period!

crossover_chickIsn't life GRAND? Yeah, woke up this morning with a SERIOUSLY sore throat that drinking some milk with breakfast didn't even touch. Added to that was a general sense of ick that -- well, I debated for a little bit while making my bed and eating my muffin, but ultimately decided on "probably should call in sick." So I called my boss and my coworker and let them know I was staying home. Think it was for the best -- I've been getting gradually stuffier as the day goes on, and my sore throat has -- well, it's lessened for a bit, then it hurts again, and I'm basically in a crappy cold holding pattern. The one bright spot is, so far, I haven't started seriously coughing, which is what's been holding my parents down. We're all hoping that I've either picked up a DIFFERENT cold, or I've got a much milder version of what they've got. We'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow morning -- I've been feeling more ick as the night's gone on, so. . . I dunno. At least I a) have sick time to burn and b) have both coworkers back so the office can function without me. Looks like I'm going to have to reschedule my dentist visit next week, though. . .again, we'll see how I feel in the morning.
As I'm going to be trying to make it a early night -- cleared out the inbox early and everything, I'll give you a quick sum-up of my day:
-->In a strange fit of tired productivity this morning, my Victor Luvs Alice tumblr queue is completely sorted straight through the beginning of Sunday. O.o Yeah, I had a lot of stuff pre-drafted, so it was just a matter of getting it into the actual queue, and I had an idea for the song I wanted to showcase on Saturday, so. . . At least this is one less thing for me to worry about if the cold gets worse and I'm laid out flat for a day or two like my parents were.
-->Watched a LOT of YouTube videos, including a bunch of CallMeKevin stuff, two OXBox/OXtra lists, the latest episode of Atop The Fourth Wall (more of Greg Land's awful traced art as the Ultimate Universe and the Squadron Supreme universe continue to face off -- this time with more DOOM! As in Dr. Doom, hehe), The Sim Supply recreating his office set-up in Sims 4 (as, uh, best he could, anyway -- in a video inspired by a company giving him new keylights and him wanting to show them off in some sort of thank-you vid XD), and Helloween's latest set of Metro Exodus (water has been gotten, slavers have been shot, and the team is FINALLY making plans to leave this no-good desert -- once a supply of fuel has been obtained, of course. And guess who gets to go pick it up! Hey, whatever gets us out of the realm of the sand-gribblers.)
-->Did some light Sims 4 building, where I took the "arcade" (old-timey mall) The Sim Supply made recently on his channel and plopped it into my Magnolia Promenade. Then redid the top to create a Cool Kitchen Stuff-themed food court area (since he was supposed to use that pack in the build challenge that created the arcade and didn't), an actual video games arcade (currently poorly furnished -- I need some custom content to make it look right), and a sitting area. I think it's pretty cool and I look forward to sending my Sims there.
-->And actually got some edits done on "Secundus 2" -- though again, I'm not sure if it's my best work. If I'm still feeling ick tomorrow and have to stay home again, I might switch to something less demanding, like some Londerland Bloodlines planning. (Trying to figure out the timeline while on my period with a cold would be fine, right? ;P)
And I just took some generic-brand Nyquil, so I'm hitting the sack. We'll see how I'm doing tomorrow, though prognosis isn't good just now. . . Night all!
