crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)

Yeah, woke up this morning feeling like I did yesterday morning and was like, ". . .probably should stay home again." It's been extremely weird to take three sick days in a row, especially so close to a long weekend. I mean, I believe they were entirely necessary -- while this cold isn't nearly as nasty as what my parents got, it still hasn't been fun, and I haven't been keen to spread it around the office -- but as someone who pretty much never had to use a sick day before. . . Gonna take me a little bit to get back into my groove, I think.

On the plus side, I AM starting to feel a little better. Still stuffy, and the cold seems to be moving into my chest now, but still no death cough from hell, and I'm feeling more awake. Although that latter might be related to my period being on its way out, so. . .yeah, part of me wonders if the real problem was the combining of illness and period to make me feel more miserable than usual. On the plus side, that means getting better should be a little easier, as I'm almost done with the red curse. Just need to get past this stuffiness and the occasional cough. . .

Today was very much a "laze around and read old fanfics" sort of day, but I did get a few things done:

-->Rescheduled my dentist appointment, as I don't want to take a personal day for that so soon after being sick; also I'd like to be fully recovered from this stupid cold before going in there. Fortunately, they were able to get me in on a day that, if I remember correctly, I already have off at the end of May, so yay there! Now I can just take a day off for nice reasons again if I feel I must. :p

-->Watched some more YouTubery:

A) Some Call Me Kevin videos (a "Everybody's Sad" VR simulation game where -- well, your entire apartment is sad, and you have to make them happy -- up until the point where the game reminds you that you need to take care of yourself as well; and another part of the adventures of Jim Pickens, showing how he first got into content creation when Kevin installed Get Famous -- mainly by trapping a Santa in a pit, killing people, and trapping someone else on a street set to make videos for him XD)

B) An Outstar video guessing at the first playable clans available in Bloodlines 2 (she thinks Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Tremere, and Lasombra will be available in the vanilla game, with Nosferatu and Malkavian and the rest coming later as free updates -- I'm not sold on the Lasombra one, but they've more or less confirmed the existence of the other four, so. . .)

C) A RTGamer video about the Sean Bean Elusive Target in Hitman 2 (this guy generally does Mike-level chaos in his runs, to the point of showing up for the mission in a clown suit -- however, he was so determined to get this right he kept restarting the mission to make sure he took out Sean's character PERFECTLY XD And it succeeded, so well done, RT)

D) A Fun With Shorts about trumpets (featuring some rather cruddy animation and a brief history on the instrument, plus jokes about Nipper the phonograph dog)

E) And the latest episode of The Sim Supply's Sims 2 LP -- or, as James is currently calling it, "My Personal Hell." XD This is what happens when you decide to fill your houses with more children than you can afford, James! To be fair, he's gotten the chaos a bit more under control by aging up the toddlers to children early (he just -- he was going MENTAL trying to keep their needs up). One of the twins actually got potty-trained and thus was in Platinum aspiration when she aged up; the other was rock-bottom and in the red when he aged up, so we've got a bit of an Angela and Lilith Pleasant situation here. XD Or, well, we would if anyone really CARED about either child. . . Nina's not doing great aspiration-wise either, mostly because he hasn't gotten to cheat on Eggton in ages. But the butler is making decent-quality food (mostly); everyone's needs aren't garbage all the time; and James actually managed to get the three younger children in private school by impressing the Headmaster again via spending all the family's money on art. XD At least Brentnall will be heading off to University soon enough!

-->Played some Sims 4 myself -- got a surprise when I had Victor license one of his songs and it was immediately nominated for an award! So the big event of the day was Victor and Alice going to the Starlight Accolades (using their vampire bat powers to bypass the bouncer at the door XD). And Victor won! Twice, even -- yeah, not sure what happened, but he got the pop-up for his song winning an award both in the middle of the proceedings and right at the end. So he came home with two Accolades. I put one in the living room and one in the music room (using our new fancy white shelf XD). He's also up to Gardening 9, so he can finally "Tend Garden" and make all our lives a bit easier in that regard. And Alice is very close to a promotion, but damn is it slow going. . . She came home pretty tense from work and with a want to go to Granite Falls on vacation. While the whim's long gone now, I'm thinking that I might just send the family up there for a few days. Why not -- I haven't been in ages, and it's sure to be an interesting experience with two kids in tow. XD Plus Winterfest! I'll have to plan this excursion carefully. . .

-->Wrote some on my Londerland Bloodlines snippets -- finished up the LaCroix one I was working on before starting "Secundus 2." Sort of testing the waters for whether my brain's up for writing stuff like this again. And provides me with a handy snippet to post the next time I need something for an AU Thursday on tumblr, so there's that too. :)

And I'm all sorted with my Valice Multiverse queue, so time to clear out what's left in the inbox and see what I can do with the usual Friday thing. (Probably not going to stay up as late as I usually do, that's for sure. . .) Tomorrow -- well, I doubt I'll be up for a full clean of my room, but vacuuming and a little light dusting shouldn't be beyond me. Hopefully I'll improve more as the weekend goes on and can get back to my regular routine next week. . . Night all!
