crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)

Fortunately the GLs for last week worked out fine, but this weekend's? More weirdness with when money is actually coming in and all that fun stuff, meaning I had to explain everything going on to the lady in Fiscal. Plus I had e-mails backed up, calls backed up on my phone, some major gifts to put on, oh and also we had the fire alarm go off and had to stand outside for a bit while the fire department checked out the boiler (nothing serious, fortunately, and it wasn't that cold either -- best day of the week, according to Dad, so I'm actually sort of glad for the fresh air break). . . It was stressful. Not helped by the fact that I had to keep blowing my nose, as you might imagine. >( I got the GL done, and the big gifts sorted, so that's a win, but. . .well, I'm expecting more pain tomorrow as I try to catch up with calls and help my coworker through the probable GL mess. And then try to get some other stuff sorted. . .all the while working through the end of this cold. Damn, am I going to be glad when I'm better. Being sick sucks.

Evening was all right, if constantly looking like it was going to rain any minute now -- I was half-thinking I'd go out for a short walk, but it didn't end up panning out. *sigh* Eh, maybe that's for the best, given I'm not quite over this sickness. Started writing on Chapter 2 of "Secundus 2" -- reworking things to allow for Lightning to come along on the trip. I've decided to steal the idea of a suspended animation kennel of sorts from Back To The Future II -- why not? The story is partly an adaptation of BTTF III for the Secundus Verse! And it actually allows for a better way to get the Teapot Grasshopper to Hill Valley than having it in Victor and Alice's luggage. Cheshire will still chase it in there, of course, but it's a much smoother ride for the poor thing -- and I think it'll make for a better entrance for it at the saloon later too. . . Ah, second drafts -- where you fix everything wrong with the first one!

Video of the evening was one long one from Helloween -- he's starting a Let's Replay of the original Nier! He said he wanted to revisit it for a long while, both because it's a favorite game and because the original LP was kind of potato quality (being made back in 2013, when 480p was the highest YouTube went). We've gotten through the opening -- well, openings. We have the very start, with our mysterious protagonist in a post-apocalyptic city -- then a timeskip of over one thousand years, to what appears to be a case of identical descendants living in a surprisingly nice post-apocalyptic-but-now-it's-all-naturey world. Main problem for our protagonist is that his daughter Yonah is very sick. And he's willing to do just about ANYTHING to make sure she gets better. . . Currently "anything" is "beat up sheep, beat up shadowy monsters called Shades, and make deals with a talkative pretentious book." We'll see how far it goes later. . .

And I've just about completed my four-part Newcrest Adventures update, so that's nothing to sneeze at! (Ha ha God I hate stuffy noses) Just gotta clear out the stuff in the inbox and see about hitting the sheets at a decent time tonight. Be glad when I don't have to worry about taking some cold medicine to make sure I get a decent night's sleep. . . Hopefully this weekend. Night all!
