Friday Weather Upturn

crossover_chickHad some "looks like it's gonna rain" moments, but it mostly got sunnier and warmer throughout the day. Summer's coming back after the brief midweek hiatus, yay~ So long as it stays nice tomorrow for our mini-golf excursion, I will be happy. It's not summer until we have a mini-golf outing with ice cream. :p
Work today wasn't too bad -- my entire morning was spent taking care of two huge GLs, but that at least made the time go by! Then the afternoon was spent taking care of a few returns, making some profile adjustments, and helping my coworkers look up stuff. Not too shabby at all, honestly. I like days like this, where it doesn't feel like the whole world is falling down around me. We need more of those.
Evening's been pretty quiet for the most part -- I got in my afternoon walk, folded some clothes, and had dinner, then did another chunk of "Secundus 2." The various mothers have been commiserating over panicky husbands, while the husbands have been doing their best to defend themselves. :p It is kind of a running theme of the story that Victor's been worrying a LOT about Alice now that she's pregnant, and she's pushing back against any attempts to "coddle" her. Victor finally accepts that she can still take care of herself late in the story, when she proves her badassery, but we're still a ways away from that now. Granted, Alice does understand why he worries, but she just doesn't like being treated like she's fragile. He'll get better at it, Alice, don't worry.
Got my Victor Luvs Alice queue sorted for tomorrow, then watched another "Fun With Shorts" (Scruffy, an admittedly very cute little short about a mischievous kitten who runs away into the woods, makes friends with a rabbit, a squirrel, and a hedgehog, and then has to be rescued with them from a waterfall when they go out sailing to catch the sunbeams), and a couple of Call Me Kevin videos (Garden Flipper, an expansion to House Flipper where you can work in people's gardens as well as fix up their houses -- Kevin, of course, wrecks everything he touches and tries to get his character to steal people's shit to sell XD; and Floor Plan, which was a really weird VR puzzle game about going up and down in an elevator to assemble a spacesuit by manipulating the quirky characters on each floor -- Kevin spent most of it badly confused by the moon logic of the world XD). Then caught up on webcomics and got my Valice Multiverse queue sorted (mostly, I just had a last-minute ask come in). Still gotta finish answering the comments in my inbox, but that won't be too much of an issue. Then it's just futzing around until bedtime. Plans for tomorrow, beyond mini-golf, is to get a start on the Bloodlines 2 stuff that's been sitting in my Watch Later queue, plus fit in some Sims 4 and writing. Fingers crossed it all pans out. For now, night all!
