At least, when it's a day where it's expected to rain after five o'clock, which is around when you USUALLY get home. Getting out at four today thanks to a graduation meant I got home when it was still just kinda cloudy, and was able to get in an outdoors walk. :) A rather muggy one, granted, but yeah. Also got my shower ahead of the rain too, which is a good thing as they were talking a bit about possible thunderstorms tonight. So far it's just raining out, but I'm keeping an eye outside my window.

Work itself wasn't too bad -- got the GL sorted, got some returns sorted. . .I've had Mondays much worse. And we got confirmations that half-day Fridays will be a thing this summer again -- starting July 12th, because they've also decided just to give us July 5th off. I am in favor of this plan. The more time off, the better! I also got a couple of days off at the end of next week, so that's nice too. We're hoping to get up to Mystic Aquarium that Thursday, since we haven't been in a while -- fingers crossed the weather cooperates!

Evening's been pretty solid too -- that half-hour meant I could get things started a bit earlier, and thus have more time for fun stuff. Mainly, by clearing out all the latest in my Watch Later queue AND the latest episode of The Sim Supply's Sims 2 LP! (Admittedly, this is also because Helloween didn't upload a set tonight, but, details.) I got through:

-->Two CallMeKevin videos, one where he played the first couple of levels of Hitman Contracts (a rather strange entry in the series where you first escape from what seems like an asylum full of Agent 47 clones, then proceed to this weird butcher shop/underground murder-sex dungeon to kill a morbidly obese man -- Kevin, as expected, went on happy murder sprees and fucked everything to hell), and one where he played some video games made by Burger King (yes, the fast food joint -- and, as Kevin's based in Ireland, this required quite the monetary overlay! Buying the games on Amazon, needing to get an American XBox 360 to play them, having to RETURN the original one and get a NEW one when the first one didn't work, and then he discovered he accidentally left one of the games in the returned XBox. He was able to show us Sneak King -- about being the Burger King and sneaking up on people to deliver food -- and Big Bumpin' -- where you play as a Burger King character in various bumper-car-related mini games. They are just as weird and crappy as you might imagine them to be).

-->An RTGame video where he played online Monopoly with a friend -- got a very cool "living board" with a Halloween theme, but the utter disdain of the Random Number Gods. Said friend got pretty much EVERY good chance card and EVERY good property -- even when in JAIL. RTGame was soundly trounced, poor guy. The other awkward Irish noodle YouTuber needs a hug.

-->A Deli reaction video to the new Island Living trailer for Sims 4 -- it's a cute little trailer that showcases a lot of the new features, and Deli was certainly into it. Though, obviously, we're going to get some much better, more in-depth stuff tomorrow, when the embargo lifts and the Game Changers can post their captured footage and suchlike from EA Play. Though a few people have already posted first impressions, on their tumblrs. . .

-->And on their YouTube channels. Fortunately, EA probably can't punish this leak too harshly without looking bad, because said channel belongs to a nine-year-old girl and what sounds like her dad. They posted the footage of the kid enjoying the 15-minute teaser play session non-Gamechangers got at the event, including making a mermaid and exploring the island. It looks like interesting stuff, and I'm excited to see what the new occult's all about. I wish there was an easy way to convert already-made Sims in CAS to a new occult type -- I'd like to design an Alice mermaid, in honor of her dropped Deluded Depths design. Ah well. . . (Also, as a side note, apparently EA Play in general was a horror show of uncaring staff and terrible heat this year -- the person who talked about her first impressions on her tumblr ended up waiting HOURS for her play session and got partially burnt by the strong sun in the roofless stadium. Plus you could see how bad the sun glare was on the kid's screen during her video -- you could barely see what was going on sometimes! At least she seemed to be having fun. . .)

-->And finally the aforementioned Sims 2 episode from James -- we were back with Brentnall and Doona in college this time around. James had them move back to La Fiesta tech so Brentnall could be on familiar ground, then promptly had Brentnall hit up his witchy date to teach him magic so he could be a warlock. Queue James going super speed most of the episode as he made reagents, studied the Path of Darkness (as he wants Brentnall to be an evil warlock), and cast spells (such as making Stalker Jasmyn cluck like a chicken, or Tara Always Stealing His Bed flee from bees). It's so frustrating that he lives so much of Sim life at three-times speed -- and damn, do I miss witches! I have so many fond memories of Emmett Brown, Techno-Witch from my own Sims 2 games. . . Island Living is gonna be cool, but it's Realm of Magic that I'm REALLY waiting for.

I also did my writing, of course -- another decent chunk on "Secundus 2." Been reordering bits and pieces here, punching up dull paragraphs, snipping away stuff that just doesn't work anymore. Had a bit of a rough patch at first, but then I hit my groove. Especially when Gordon showed up in Doc's "security system" for the paddock -- a Rube Goldberg machine adapted from his garage security system in the early comics. Hey, it felt appropriate. :) Having fun with this one -- just hope I can keep it up!

And, finally, I got my Sims pictures for the Wednesday update sorted, and the first of the posts prepped in the queue! The second one's in there too, but only in the barest sense -- uncaptioned pictures, a starter sentence for the text, and the common tags. Still, having SOMETHING in there will make finishing updates tomorrow easier.

And now it's time to hit the sheets, as I do have a full day of work tomorrow. Plus I managed to get everything in my inbox sorted early for a change, go me. Can I just come home at 4 every day? *sigh* Ah well -- night all!
