Stressful And Rainy
Jun. 13th, 2019 11:31 pmWork was more minor crises (problems getting dumped on me via e-mail, mostly), and the weather didn't help things -- while yesterday was hotter than they said it was going to be, I'm pretty sure today was colder. In the 50s and rainy all freaking day. Does not inspire a good mood. *sigh* It really feels like Friday should be here already. One more day. . .
Afternoon was all right, at least -- I got another chunk done on "Secundus 2." Buford has been thwarted in his attempt to steal Doc's horse by Richard, and the plan between him and Gordon has come out. Doc and company WERE going to take him to the Sheriff's office, buuuut as I need them free to continue pestering them in later chapters. . .well, Gordon's just on the verge of escaping, and Buford's soon to follow. My mains aren't going to be exactly happy about this, but I plan to distract them with a picnic and Clara next chapter. :p
Youtubery consisted entirely of videos in my Watch Later queue -- yeah, none of my subscriptions actually uploaded anything! Weird~ But it let me catch up on a few things, at least:
-->Another riddle video from Jay and Kassie, featuring a lot of maid murderers and finding hidden lovers. :p Always good for a laugh from these two.
-->Call Me Kevin playing another round of Overlord -- he's really getting into the whole "doing evil" part of the game, what with attacking halflings, stealing food from villagers, stealing villagers themselves, and letting his minions die for his glory. XD Unfortunately he cooked himself by accident while pursuing his greatest nemesis, Melvin. Hopefully we the viewers can convince him to give it all another try! Come on, Kevin, the game was practically MADE for you.
-->A OXBox list about the most Londony things in the upcoming Watch Dogs Legion game, which was mainly an excuse for them to gush about things they liked about it. :p Though also a commentary on how well London was done in the game -- it's a futuristic cyberpunk dystopian London, yes, but apparently parts of it were so familiar Mike could figure out how to take a shortcut to a certain location his in-game GPS didn't know about. :p It does look like a cool game, especially if you like hacking construction drones and flying them around like the Green Goblin on his glider. :p
-->And an OXBox/OXtra joint effort from Luke and Jane, as they created Ellen, Andy, Mike, and John Wick in the new Sims 4 Island Living expansion pack and sent them to live in Sulani. It was mostly a showcase of them being kind of bad at playing Sims (by the end of the day, everyone was super uncomfortable, Andy had wet himself, Ellen had come close, and Andy and John Wick were lightly scorched by separate fire incidents), but it did show off the island world and the gameplay in it very well. Sims seem to really like making sandcastles. XD And the ocean looks beautiful -- I haven't actually gone swimming in quite a while in real life, but seeing Sims wading out into the ocean and snorkeling and all that makes me want to get a bathing suit and give it another go. XD Which is really the highest praise a pack can receive, isn't it? Also got a bunch of videos from Deli about this queued up too to watch this weekend -- might as well get a bit hype, right? :p
And that's about it, apart from getting my tumblr queues sorted out a bit more. Time to hit the sheets and hopefully get through a slightly better Friday. Sun's supposed to be out again, so that'll already be an improvement. And then, weekend, yay~ Night all!
