More problems at work (the usual phone calls we've been getting, for the most part -- this is getting old), meaning a lot more stress for the Vicky. Not to mention we've gotten a bunch more returns in. . . Fortunately the traffic wasn't too bad today, either going in or coming home, so I didn't have that on top of everything else. I mean, I did have to deal with the HEAT -- 90 degree day, and did I mention the air conditioning in the car doesn't work? Happily there WAS a bit of a breeze today, and the air-con in the HOUSE is functioning just fine (I'm actually a touch cold!), so I was able to cool off pretty quickly once getting back.

Evening's been pretty nice too:

-->Switched writing to my current mini Forgotten Vows project -- "A Wedding, A Wedding, We're Going To Have A Wedding!" A collection of short stories detailing four key moments in the wedding planning for Victor and Alice -- Alice clashing with Nell over her wedding dress (specifically, Nell getting her one without her permission); Alice receiving half of Emily's bouquet from Victoria; Victor getting Alice an engagement ring and doing an official proposal; and Alice and Victor talking with June about their wedding feast, with a special emphasis on the cake. The first two I've already written and are ready to go; I did the rough draft of the third last week, and the rough draft of the fourth today. Planning on posting them through July as a sort of month-long Valice wedding celebration. :p What, they're my OTP for a REASON. . .

-->Watched:

A) A "Fun With Shorts" about the history of cinema -- including some of its more racist breakthroughs XD Very silly little short, but I suppose informative. And fairly cringe-worthy in the present day. As Josh was VERY keen to point out. XD

B) A CallMeKevin video about Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise! The sequel, I believe, to the original Viva Pinata. Kevin's setting up a fresh Pinata garden, by which I mean he's splatting frog pinatas with a shovel, launching bug pinatas out of a cannon to their deaths at parties, trying to farm as many worms as possible, and having pinatas mate to make baby pinatas to shoot out the cannon. XD And also being visited by as many super-creepy characters as possible. An ideal vehicle for our traditional dark Kevin humor! XD

C) Another episode of "Rags To Riches: Island Edition" with The Sim Supply, which consisted in large part of him defending himself for not recognizing mermaids and letting poor Banana wet herself when there was a bathroom nearby. XD He did better this set, though -- he found a rare conch, and, through blowing it, a merman! So he's learned to recognize ONE mer-person, at least. XD And he's solved the bathroom issue by buying Banana a nice bush. XD She's still kind of struggling with the "food" and "fun" parts of living on the island, though. James wants to grab her a fire pit to roast things over, but saving up enough money is a problem when your main source of income is selling random collectibles at random yard sales. (James has decided to toughen up the challenge this time around and forbidden Banana from selling anything directly from her inventory for cash -- random bags of garbage for $0 are okay.) As for fun -- well, snorkeling raises fun REALLY SLOWLY, as it turns out, and traveling back and forth from the buoy basically destroys the gains she gets. Might need to get her a bookcase, James. Or read a magazine in her tent -- apparently that's fun too.

-->Caught up on webcomics and got my Valice Multiverse queue sorted -- not too much there, which made life a bit easier. Reblogged a meme, so we'll see where that goes.

And now I just have to sort out the inbox and go do the usual Friday Night Writing Thing. No minigolf tomorrow as the chance of thunderstorms is a lot higher than I thought it was (must have gone up since the last time I saw the weather), but my parents are planning to head to Connecticut on their anniversary, so I'll have some time to myself then. And it gives me a good excuse to get my video game situation sorted -- gotta get my Sims all backed up properly, and see what to do about the custom content. . . But that's something to worry about tomorrow. For now -- night all!

Ed's mom and youngest brother sometimes give me gift cards for my birthday, so I'm hoping they do this time so I can get Island Living. Otherwise I'll have to wait for a sale, or Christmas, or something. :p

Speaking of, you know the POSSESSED image you get on the lower left when they ingest the spores? So much creepier when the Sims is an alien.
