Very Monday

crossover_chickIt didn't start out that way, but between one of my coworkers being out for personal reasons, the phone gradually getting busier and busier as the day went on, having multiple problems I had to handle from a variety of sources, and my other coworker disappearing just when I wanted to take a walk and have lunch, meaning I took lunch late. . . *sigh* Not to mention the ride home -- just want I want on a hot day, traffic problems! At least it wasn't humid today. . .but THAT'S supposed to change as the week goes on, so yaaaay. *huff*
Afternoon was only a semi-improvement -- got in my walk, but there were a lot of dishes to put away from supper AND I had to fold a bunch of laundry. So I lost a good chunk of my evening there too. Fortunately I did get the important (and not-so-important) stuff done:
-->Finished off another chapter of "Secundus 2!" Doc brought up the argument of "Clara's here to WORK, and she might risk her job by dating me," which the others had to admit was a reasonable one. Fortunately they've talked him around to "let her make the first move then, if she's really interested in you," which Clara is going to demonstrate in SPADES in the next chapter. XD Making progress, yay~
-->Watched The Sim Supply's latest "Rags To Riches Island Edition" episode -- James's penchant for fast-forwarding and causing game lag has bit him in the butt again, as it may be the culprit behind him only earning silver on his all-important Kava Party (he needs a gold-level one if he wants to advance her aspiration). Either that or ignoring Banana's needs to the point that she peed herself. XD Which may in fact have something to do with the constant fast-forwarding. . . Either way, he was sour. Though, really, getting silver was quite the achievement in and of itself, given where she lives (at the base of a volcano in a tent). XD And she's become quite the successful yard saler, selling the shells and treasures she's picked up via beachcombing. In fact, she got enough to build herself a hut! Not one with walls, mind, but it has a roof, and columns -- and a sheltered spot just under the eaves to grow her bananas! (Yeah, the plants are still CLEARLY outside, but because they have like an inch of roof over them. . . Sims 4, man.) She still needs the tent as she has no FURNITURE for her hut, but still. Slowly but surely moving up in the world!
-->Also watched CallMeKevin's latest foray into Sims 4 -- still focusing on his new drug mod addition. First Name, Jim, and one of the Santas have moved into smuggling cocaine from Selvadorada! Yes, this is an ACTUAL THING you can do -- buy cocaine there for cheap, and then bring it back with you. And convince people it's better quality than it actually is, no less. *facepalm* It's horrible and yet it's so well done. XD And Kevin's having a blast with it. He's also discovered the fun inventions from the Scientist career, so Jim may be going into that profession sooner rather than later. . .and Jim and Grim have rekindled their romantic spark and gotten married! To the sound of an awful keyboard autoplayer, with everyone too busy doing cocaine or drinking to watch. XD Life in Kevin's save file, everyone!
-->And as for my own Sims, got all the pictures for the next update sorted (only a three-parter, despite having a birthday in it! Then again, they didn't do a lot of interest before the party happened. . .) and got the initial post started in my queue. So there's that. I also found that Likes and Dislikes mod (actually called Love and Hate), so that's another thing to investigate when it comes to my Sims. I mean, would be nice to have Victor "officially" Love the Piano, and be Musically Talented with "Slice of Life. . ." I'll keep looking into things.
As it stands, though, I do need to get to bed. Hopefully Tuesday will be a bit better. . .just have to remind myself, it's automatically a short week! Just gotta get through the next few days. Night all!
