Yeah, a couple of my coworkers surprised the office by bringing in stuff to make ice cream sundaes (chocolate and caramel sauces, bananas, strawberries, sundae bowls and spoons, and of course ice cream). So that was nice to have at lunch today -- especially after my walk, which was pretty darn warm. Made myself a banana split with scoops of strawberry (from a batch of Neapolitan ice cream), Rocky Road, and Butterscotch Swirl. Not bad at all! Certainly made getting over the midweek hump a little nicer.

The rest of the day was pretty typical -- a few calls, a few batches, me getting pulled away from stuff I'm working on to help with other stuff. Traffic in wasn't great, but traffic out was all right -- and good thing too, as the heat had climbed to 92, and the humidity was on the rise as well. w000f. . . Stayed in the air conditioning and did a quick tummy trimmer for my afternoon exercise. It was the smart thing to do.

Writing went well again -- I've hit a groove with "Secundus 2" for the moment. Seems what I really needed was Clara to show up and get adopted by my nerds. XD They just showed off Doc's homemade walkie-talkies to her -- she was suitably impressed. And I'm gearing up to do the famous telescope moment now, which will be even more fun as Richard's immediately going to notice what I eventually noticed about it. . . (Namely, that the telescope might not even be broken. Fuzzy one way and clear the other is NORMAL for a telescope, remember?)

Youtubery was once again Sims 4 themed, starting with another episode of "Rags To Riches Island Edition!" After more yard sales to fund the whole endeavor (including an emergency one right before the party when James realized he'd forgotten to factor in the cost of the event into his calculations), James FINALLY managed to get Gold on a Kava Party. Mainly by buying two kava bowls for Banana, inviting fewer guests (though her yard sale attendees ended up staying for the get-together -- THAT'S what happened with the "tell stories" goal not completing! He wasn't telling them to a GUEST! At least, I think that's what happened. . .), chugging as much of the drink and doing as many toasts as possible, and letting Banana wet herself rather than waste a minute going to the bathroom. XD Banana is not living her best life here, is what I'm saying. Even worse for her, it's monsoon season, and she still doesn't have a place to live that has WALLS. Fortunately, just being under a roof counts as sheltered to a Sim in a storm, but the poor girl was Uncomfortable with every thunderstorm that passed by. James had to resort to giving her a floating bit of thatched roof over her sale table so she could continue to sell her wares. Again -- not exactly living her best life, Banana. Can only go uphill from here?

The other video was more mod recs from Fantayzia -- an older video from the beginning of 2019 about mods that improve gameplay and realism. Obviously "Slice of Life" (her absolute favorite mod ever) was mentioned, along with MC Command Center, Sacrificial's "Road To Fame" and roBurky's "Meaningful Stories," but we also got some stuff like new after-school activities, an "Ultrasound" mod (where a pregnant Sim can go to a gynecologist via rabbithole and comes home with an ultrasound picture and some new knowledge of how many kids they're going to have and whether they'll be boys or girls), and two party mods -- a baby shower for pregnant Sims, and a pool party! Those last two really intrigued me, though I'm not sure the baby shower one still works -- that video was made before the Island Living patch, and the original creator of the mod no longer updates their stuff. Someone else IS looking after the mods, but they recently graduated, so they're likely to be busy. I have it on my "watch" radar. And yes, I finally started making that list of stuff I think I want in my game. Now I just have to hope none of them majorly conflict with each other! (My main worry is the Fear Mod not playing nice, as I would LOVE to have properly-frightened Sims, but "Slice of Life" is offering so much that I rather want in my game. . .)

And that's about it for my evening -- I actually managed to sort out my queue for tomorrow this morning, so I had a bit of free time! :) Got some reviews to answer on "Fixing You," and then, bed. One more full day to get through. . .and then half-day Friday, yay! Rainy half-day Friday, but what can you do. We're hoping to do some mini-golf this weekend, though we have to figure out where to go first. Need to research when I get home on Friday. . .

But that's for later. For now, cleaning out the inbox! Best I can, anyway. Night all!
