Bad Weather Wednesday
Aug. 21st, 2019 11:12 pmBad weather which I can sum up in three Bullet Points Of Annoyance:
-->Taking my lunchtime walk was a super-sticky and, near the end, hot affair because it was so freaking humid
-->It started rumbling thunder about a half-hour before we were supposed to leave work -- and basically began MONSOONING the moment we were out the door; I had my windbreaker, which is at least semi-waterproof, and my coworker let me huddle up under her umbrella, but I still got pretty good and soaked just trying to get to the car (not helped by me mistaking which car was mine and trying to get into the wrong one for a minute)
-->And then after I got home, caught up on Realm of Magic news via SimsVIP (witches are now called "spellcasters," and familiars are apparently creatures you can find and collect in the world, and according to -- Romeo? I think it was his tweet -- follow you around like the streaming drone; also two of the Gurus can't agree on whether The Magic Realm counts as another neighborhood in one world, or a world of its own with one lot. It doesn't have seasons, but it does apparently have a unique day-night cycle!), got my workout in, and got a little over halfway through my latest chunk on "Secundus 2" -- it started REALLY getting stormy. As in TONS of lightning. I basically had to shut my computer down from 7:45 to 9:30 because it was THAT electric outside. Which means I did not get to watch ANY videos this evening. I'm a little salty about that.
And tomorrow's supposed to be humid with a chance of more of these bad boys. *sigh* At least we're only going as far as Roger Williams Park. . .gotta get up at nine for that, but at least I get to sleep in a bit. I doubt I will have the same chance with Six Flags on Friday. At least THEN the weather's supposed to start getting good.
Anyway, rest of the day wasn't too bad. I had one stressful e-mail come in about someone changing up some payment methods and such, but I handled it to the best of my ability, so it's in my coworkers' hands now. I did eventually finish my chunk on "Secundus 2" -- the undertaker, Mr. Phipps, giving Marty and company the bad news about the Tannens getting broken out, and everyone freaking out a bit because, well, Buford just tried to shoot Doc last night, and it's clear he's got a grudge against Marty too. Not to mention Gordon attacked Victor. . . They're heading over to the church to talk to Jennifer because they need to figure out if the wedding is getting delayed or not. (It's not, because plot reasons, though I think I'll be able to provide some good in-universe ones from Strickland as well.) And I've caught up on all my webcomics and such, and am preparing to take care of the comments still in my inbox. Might take a moment to see if I can at least watch a few more reaction videos to the new Realm of Magic trailer. . .I was looking forward to Plumbella's since she's apparently a huge magic fan. We'll see -- like I said, can't stay up all night!
As it stands, gotta get to those comments. Night all! Hope your days are less stormy!
