crossover_chick: Victor leaning over to look at a blue butterfly in a glass jar (CB: i has a happy thing)

As indicated yesterday, I indulged in a Call Me Kevin marathon to clear out my Watch Later queue today (plus one bonus video he'd uploaded today):

-->One video of him working out with Wii Fit, showing off just how awkward and gangly he is. And how small his recording room is. XD Best part was him discovering he had the balance board backwards ten minutes into a fourteen-minute video. XD

-->Two videos of him using a new "steering wheel and pedals" set-up he bought to play a couple of different driving games. Despite being a licensed driver in real life, he couldn't pull off getting his license in the first game. XD To be fair, it's probably a LOT different when it's a controller wheel and pedals. . .and he did go on to actually win the Sunday Drivers Cup! XD The second one was a street-racing game -- he had a lot of trouble with the tutorial guy, then proceeded to smoke a couple of the actual drivers (as well as knock over a LOT of towers to get himself in trouble with the police, because apparently that is a thing you do now as a street racer). His constant crashing into walls and such was a constant source of amusement. :p

-->A video about searching out weird, cringey, and awkward Minecraft stuff, from memes to videos of old cons. Guy actually ducked under his desk upon coming upon a video of a guy proposing at a MineCon! Fortunately the girl said yes and seemed mostly happy about it, but -- yeah, right there with you, Kevin! That could have been super bad. . .

-->Three videos detailing Kevin's adventures in Minecraft, searching out The End portal, investigating shipwrecks, and trying to imprison villagers near his house so he can trade with them. XD That last didn't go particularly smoothly -- Kevin's house is fairly far from the village, so he ended up building a Nether portal to help shorten the distance, then a minecart ride to truck them across the Nether, then a bunch of boats to haul them to and from the portals (because villagers really like sitting in boats for some reason), and then when he got the first one into their cell -- they promptly died from hitting their head on the ceiling. XD The FRUSTRATION in Kevin's eyes -- he did actually manage to successfully imprison one by building more track to take them directly to their prison and not adding ceiling to it until they were out of the cart, but man. Don't blame him for doing the cheaty thing afterward to get another one. XD

So that was all loads of fun. I like Kevin; he's very goofy. And sadistic, but in a good way. XD

I also:

-->Played some Fallout 4 -- another play session full of deaths, but I managed to clear out the raider cell in Revere Beach Station -- plus the feral ghouls they were keeping chained up. (THAT took some planning, as one of them was legendary. . .) Got a level out of it, anyway! And if these were the raiders bothering the people at the settlement I'm going to, I might have just saved myself a little bit of backtracking. I DID manage to stumble upon another quest by investigating an old bus nearby, but that's WAY out of my way -- will do that later! Nordhagen Beach first! And then Taking Independence, as I WILL complete my current business with the Minutemen! One of these days, main plot, I swear. . .

-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" -- Strickland has sold everyone on the merits of going ahead with the wedding. With lots and lots of guards, granted. . .gonna have Victor and Alice have a moment together, with Victor worrying about Alice (and everyone else) getting hurt, and then it's onto the actual day of the wedding! Where things will not go according to plan, but at least Victor's fears about Alice will be disproven. Because, even pregnant, she kicks ass. :)

-->Started catching up on my Helloween! Yeah, he did a couple of sets over the weekend, restarting his two current LPs. Tonight was Metro: Exodus night -- we finally wrapped up the section with the Pioneers and Pirates (which concluded with a fairly epic boss fight against the bear living in the woods with the stranded students, and a sudden romance between Alyosha, the character you went on this trip with, and Olga, the friendly NPC of the region); and we've moved into what appears to be the final area of the game. Mainly because Anna's gotten a lot sicker, and I'm pretty sure that whether she lives or dies is part of the ending you get for your actions. Hells has gotten one "bad" ending, and what I believe are two "good" ones (though the bad ending I argue is pretty decent and still in-character for the character who got it), so I think he's on track for the "good" ending. Fingers crossed, anyway -- Artyom has got to brave "the dead city," a city absolutely SOAKING in radiation, to find an antidote for his wife. It's not exactly conducive to leaving people alive! We'll see what happens. . .hopefully next weekend?

And now I'm just sorting out my tumblr queues. Can't take too long, though -- I'm heading to the mall tomorrow (a rare opportunity to take advantage of half-price games at Dave & Buster's), and thanks to my mom having an eye appointment in the morning, I have to take a bus. (Though I suppose I COULD drive up. . .but I'm not sure I want to deal with the parking garage. Or the traffic. Or do that route for the very first time on my own -- prefer to start out with someone else in the passenger seat!) So gotta make sure I'm up in time to eat and get dressed before needing to walk to the bus stop. At least it's nearby! *cracks knuckles* So yeah, gotta wrap those up. Also gotta watch the latest At4W, and Dead Space 2 set from Hells. Keeping the to-do list going! Night all!
