Corpse Bride: I ended up watching both Corpse Bride trailers, plus a quick clip compilation set to the opening theme someone made to summarize the movie for the anniversary. Plus wore my CB shirt, natch. :p Nice little refresher on one of my favorite films! And I allowed myself a dish of Rocky Road ice cream too. Mostly because ages and ages ago that was the favorite ice cream of one of my RP Victors. (Cripes, it's weird thinking of my "Beyond The Rift" days now. . .)

Bloodlines: Played a big chunk of V:tMB today -- namely, did the entirety of Grout Mansion! To my surprise, Ming Xiao's Nines IS capable of talking semi-normally if you choose the right dialogue options! She's still a lot more brusque than the real Nines, and you still get the sense something is off, but that was interesting. The mansion was, as usual, a weird clusterfuck and I could FEEL the Londerland Bloodlines version of Alice getting angrier and angrier with every recording. Anyone who praises the atmosphere of old-time insane asylums is immediately on her shit list. And I found the creepy maze area that leads to the creepy mannequin room -- yaaaay? Funny thing is, there's something that wasn't there before when I last played -- an ashed vampire. With a driver's license. Reading Kent Alan Ryan.

Kent is the guy who ghouled Patty in the "Attention Whore" quest. I always assumed, from the way Skelter talked about trying to get her to shut up and go away, that telling her Kent was dead was just them trying to get rid of her now that he wasn't interested in her anymore. Seems like he really was dead, and died pretty horrifically given he's in Grout's mansion, in a room with mystical sunlight. Jeez. (It also makes me wonder what might happen if you had this license while actually talking to Patty. . .hmmm. Future run?)

Anyway, got through all the creepy, found Grout's dead body, then managed to escape the blaze set by Bach, vampire hunter extraordinaire! (Dementation's Vision of Death came in VERY handy for stopping flaming ghouls in their tracks! Alice in-story may not really like that power, but in-game, I'm using the heck out of it.) I promptly sent her back to the downtown haven to rest up, deciding that she would be in NO mood to do anything else beyond huddle on the couch and maybe cuddle Victor. I also updated my timeline some while doing my notes -- pushed the actual warehouse explosion in "Explosive Beginning" out to its own night, and moved Venus's quests to their own night, as having them right after Alice handled the plaguebearer stuff felt like a little -- much. Plus it gives Victor and Alice a chance to go to the movies together! ...What, them having movie dates in this verse has been a headcanon of mine for a WHILE. And it means that Alice goes to Grout's mansion on the night of Halloween, which just feels right. :p I'm thinking the next play session will be reporting to LaCroix, doing the first of Pisha's quests (as Alice will happily deal with Simon -- she'll just kill Pisha afterward), and then heading to the museum to find the sarcophagus. Then the "next night," I'll check in on the Last Round so it actually feels like there was some time for the news of Nines coming out of Grout's to spread! Cripes, this game can be tricky with its time frame. . .

And, as is usual for a day off with me, I spent most of the rest of it YouTubing, including:

-->A new Yandere Simulator video from Jay, showing off a rather boring new student task, and a rather less boring robot car you can drive around to run people over XD

-->The next part of James's "Rags To Witches" series (James has got his mod in so the potions are actually worth something, and has grabbed Column a selling table -- she only knows two potions so far, but she managed to sell the sample of the second she got for $400 bucks, so she's still in good shape. She also now has a magic mop to ride and a bone wand to swing, so yay there XD)

-->The latest "Your Gallery Builds" video, featuring awesome builds using the debug items, including an AMAZINGLY detailed factory, a beautiful little airport, and someone's take on the in-universe set of The Truman Show! :D Seriously, I am in awe of what some people can do with build mode. Just -- it's so beyond anything I could come up with. So glad the Gallery exists and I can download whichever ones I want!

-->A new video from Outstar on the latest Bloodlines 2 faction to be revealed -- the Baron! Who doesn't seem to be an Anarch -- or, at least, not one in the tradition of Nines Rodriguez. This Baron is an underworld kingpin, who will hire anyone, so long as they have the stomach for his work. If he is Anarch, he's definitely a darker side to them. I am intrigued, and Outstar is too. Looking forward to the reveals of the last two factions! :D

-->Two Call Me Kevin videos -- an old one about him playing the completed version of Hello Neighbor! (he had a bit of a rage moment over a particularly obtuse and moon-logicky puzzle), and a new one about him playing Untitled Goose Game (literally what it's called, and it's all about being an asshole goose to people -- naturally, he loved it XD).

So yeah, those were the major events of this surprisingly hot start to fall -- it was in the high 80s and muggy! We had to turn the AC on! The rest of this week is supposed to be a little more reasonable -- mid to high 70s -- but wow. Well, I'll take it -- not quite ready to see summer go. :( I mean, I don't mind it cooling down a LITTLE, but I just look at how much daylight we've lost since August, and I know. . .

Can't worry about that just now. I've gotta get to bed -- back to work tomorrow! Glad I took today off, though. It was nice to have another extra day to just laze around and enjoy myself. Especially the anniversary of a favorite movie. :) Night all!
