Not Quite As Stressful Wednesday

crossover_chickI mean, it looked like it was going to start out bad, with an application we use to look up stuff going down and the general stress of yesterday looming over everything. . .but then the app got fixed, and we got some good news on the planned gift stuff, and I made my own little spreadsheet to track things so I'd feel like I was more in control, and I got some lingering papers off my desk, so -- yeah. Couple that with some genuinely lovely weather (a bit breezy, but it got up to 65F!), an easier ride out (no highway problems beyond the usual "some people are jerks when they drive") and only one tumblr queue to handle tonight (and me already having the posts I want ready), and I'm generally feeling a little better about life.
Evening consisted largely of the following:
-->Got in an exercise video to go with my lunchtime walk, good for me~
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has had her first meal, and Wonderland has just convinced her that, now that she knows what will kill a vampire (courtesy of Jack), she shouldn't immediately avail herself of them and commit suicide. (She has some conflicting feelings about now being a largely-immortal bloodsucker, especially when it comes to possibly never seeing her family again. ...There were reasons I was only too happy to get Lizzie into this AU.) Of course, the moment she chooses to embrace unlife, the Sabbat attacks. . .
-->Watched James get sent to the San Diego Zoo during TwitchCon by the makers of Planet Zoo to learn more about hippos, as he was very bad at taking care of them in his livestream game earlier (did you know their mouths are hourglass-shaped so they can see if whatever they're trying to threaten with their teeth is intimidated or not?); Jay test out whether Kokona will keep appearing on the now-not-so-blurry street with her compensated date if you kill her or fix her problems (she will, proving the street is stuck in a time loop) and figure out how to get into normally-inaccessible rooms with the boosted weapons on the mech Easter Egg (such as glitching into Info-Chan's 'club,' and the guidance counselor's office); and Kevin take a shot at the jungle survival game (and sort-of-horror game, given it starts in earnest with your partner on the jungle expedition going missing after a pretty worrying walkie-talkie broadcast. . .) Green Hell (he died almost immediately in the tutorial by falling off a cliff XD But after reloading he managed to make a go of it and survived for a few days despite picking up loads of parasites from dirty water and chowing down on unknown mushrooms -- which actually killed his parasites, so, go Kevin). Fun day on the YouTubes!
-->And, after some faffing about trying to find this one particular tumblr post I liked (no luck *grumbles*), I'm finishing up my Victor Luvs Alice queue. :) And then it's time to hit the sheets! Two more days to go. . .here's hoping tomorrow is all right. Gonna be quiet to start, giving most of the other staff are going to be out at various meetings. . .night all!
