Donor Yelling Thursday
Oct. 24th, 2019 11:25 pmAs in, I got a phone call from a very angry woman this morning regarding her pledge and a letter she'd received that had a lot of wrong information. . .fortunately, turns out that was not a letter we'd sent, and I was able to reassure her that we had everything correct here. Still, not the greatest start to the work day. Fortunately the rest of the day was a bit quieter (updating a business contact, fixing a spreadsheet, doing more obits), so that helped, but still. Hoping for no repeats tomorrow!
Other things of note today:
-->Another decent weather day, happily -- sunshine and 60s, yay~ It does get cold fast at night, though, so I still gotta bundle up then. That's not too bad, though -- I kinda like lazing around in my bathrobe. :P
-->We need to get a fresh jack-o-lantern -- our original Cheshire is already falling apart. :( Namely, one of his eyes and all of his teeth. I think we carved him too early -- and I don't think the rain we've had a couple of nights this week helped! Mom thinks something may have been eating it too. . .regardless, we're gonna get a fresh one this weekend, and Mom's planning on carving it on Sunday. I hope it works out okay! I want to show you guys a good picture of it.
-->Wrote another decent chunk on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has agreed to at least try to see the positives of her new unlife, entered the garage as the Sabbat attack begins, and picked up her lockpick! I've decided that, for her, the Malkavian Inspection bonus is represented by Wonderlanders pointing out things (like Hatter with the lockpick). Next up -- seeing the Sheriff use his Disciplines to kick some butt! Another reason for her to agree to work for LaCroix -- not wanting to be savaged by ghost wolf.
-->Watched one Call Me Kevin video (The Last of Us -- he spent it trying to shoot/punch anyone he could so he could be the genuine "last" XD), and then had a GrayStillPlays marathon! In order:
A) Draw Your Own Adventure -- Gray ruins a puppet show by making his protagonist Florida Man, and pairing him up with a gator named Meth (with a machete in its head, and a bandolier of Bud Light). We also had a seagull named Felony (with a gun), and Police Queen Thot. XD
B) Grimdr -- Gray ruins the afterlife by randomly deciding to send everyone to Hell (except one six-year-old because even he can't do that), then randomly sending everyone to Heaven. Overpopulating Hell got him fired for a millenium, overpopulating Heaven. . .got him an ordinary "day over" because I guess Heaven is just more forgiving. :p
C) Doomsday Crisis Line -- Gray ruins the apocalypse by answering people calling in with doomsday problems and generally making their lives worse. Not that he had to do much, given the game LITERALLY HAS A METER showing how much goodwill you can give people -- and even THAT can be horrible. Also people are melting and your boss very obviously loves seeing humanity suffer. Basically this is a shockingly dark comedy game and I want him to play more. XD
D) Everyday Misanthrope -- Gray ruins lives by being just an ordinary man being an ordinary dick. Think the Horrible Goose of Untitled Goose Game except you're human, being much meaner, and there's an active tally of how many lives you're ruining. (Also this game apparently came first.) Gray naturally had a blast. XD
-->Mom made brownies, so I got to have a little brownie with ice cream tonight (with the brownie freshly warm too! Aw yeah) :D
-->Got my Valice Multiverse queue sorted -- a little less busy tonight, which I appreciate. Still gotta answer the stuff left in my inbox, though. . .and then head to bed. Trying to get to sleep a little earlier than I did last night. One more day to get through. . .and then weekend, yay~ I mean, I have to clean my room on Saturday, but hopefully I'll have a quiet morning and just be able to get it done. There's also more Bloodlines, and bowling on Sunday, so that'll be nice. :) Night all!
