crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)

Yeah, my work day was pretty much fine -- we had a meeting to talk about upcoming challenges and figure out what's going with the Appeal in the future, discussed a few other things with the interim guys, and most of the rest of it was spent doing obituaries. My ride HOME, on the other hand. . .traffic everywhere, and I got temporarily stuck behind TWO cars that had their flashers on. *grumbles* Nearly an hour ride home, which. . .ugh. I am sincerely hoping tomorrow is not such a clusterfuck on the roads. It's Halloween and I want to dress up as a witch and pass out candy to trick-or-treaters. However many we get, anyway. . .weather's not supposed to be great. Though it is supposed to be on the warmer side, so -- there's that!

Anyway, managed to calm down over the course of the evening with the help of the following:

-->Writing some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has eaten a rat, and is not sure she cares for it. Maybe chomping on humans is the better option? Though she's not sure how keen she is on just jumping people in alleys. . . You can't really play someone who tries to do at least semi-consensual feeding in the game proper (without a high Seduction skill for the blood dolls, anyway, which -- Alice doesn't have), but I might see what I can do in the story. My Sims Alice might chomp without guilt, but that's because I like watching her compel people -- and besides, for a long while, her main food source was Victor, who I could headcanon into enjoying it. ;p Plus she ASKED to become a vampire. . . "Londerland Bloodlines" Alice has a few more issues. We'll see how the story goes.

-->Watching the latest Atop the Fourth Wall, which finished off the Hellraiser comics (Spring Slaughter had nothing to do with spring, but it at least had a pretty interesting story about escapees from the Cenobite Hell trying to track down and destroy puzzle boxes. . .it doesn't go well for them) and the mini-Halloween storyline (which -- it's all very confusing and creepy, even if most of the reality shifts ended up being played for laughs. I am concerned for Linkara's safety. . .). Also featured Linkara being a cat-dad at the very end, which was adorable. :)

-->Also watching Carl's Sims Guides' "Halloween Special" review of the Vampires DLC, which he considers a good example of an occult state pack done RIGHT (he's on record as saying that Realm of Magic is just too easy gameplay-wise. I personally have no real complaints yet, but then again I'm a much more casual player not trying to power through the spells and aspiration, sooo. . .). Vampires is one of my favorite game packs, and it was nice to see him being so positive about it. Up until the end, when he revealed that there's at least two bugs with the "Master Vampire" aspiration that prevents it from being completed (one with finishing the Ultimate Vampire Tome, which I somehow got around without realizing, and one where traveling anywhere completely resets the "survive 20 days as a vampire" counter, which I already knew about and cursed). I mean -- seriously, EA. It's been TWO YEARS since Vampires was released. You couldn't patch this?? ...What am I saying, look at how buggy the content that's coming out NOW is. *looks nervously in the direction of Discover University* I want you, but I fear you at the same time.

-->And getting my Victor Luvs Alice queue done for a couple of days, as I knew exactly what I wanted to do for Thursday and Friday posts-wise, yay~ Still need to figure out my Song Saturday, but I'll have extra time on Friday for that, soooo :p Also planning on seeing if a posted-that-minute photoset will keep its captions tomorrow when I share my Halloween pictures -- the "queued photosets do NOT keep captions" problems is now being reviewed by tumblr engineers, so we'll see where that goes!

Okay -- probably time for me to hit the sheets. Want to be decently rested for tomorrow, after all. . . Really hope work goes well. And that we get some trick-or-treaters. And that I get to enjoy some Halloweeny stuff afterward. (I do have Plumbella's Halloween "Touring Your Builds" in my Watch Later queue, so that's one thing. . .) Fingers crossed for a good Halloween, folks! Night all!
