Yesterday's To-Do List: Accomplished!
Nov. 9th, 2019 11:28 pmRoom cleaning: Got it done by two PM! With interruptions for food (I ended up starting on stripping my bed and such before I made my breakfast smoothie as we were out of bananas and my dad had to go get some), but still, not bad.
OXBox videos: Watched the two I had in my Watch Later queue -- animals who snuck into fighting games (bears, kangaroos, and chickens, oh my!), and video game "safehouses" that abruptly became very unsafe indeed (like the Templars raining chaos and death upon Ezio Auditore's home city in later installments of Assassin's Creed , or Henry Townshend's apartment getting more and more haunted in Silent Hill 4 -- though, uh, given Henry was mystically locked into the apartment and could only exit through a hole to various hell dimensions. . .was it ever really safe?). Fun stuff, as per usual with the OXBox crowd. :)
I also watched Jay from the Kubz Scouts introduce his new son, Mason, to YouTube (he's a little cutie who slept through most of the video XD), and Call Me Kevin play another round of Song of Horror -- we had a few new faces, plus one old one, searching an old antique store/apartment complex for the music box of evil that is unleashing the evil smoke-and-creepy-hands monster on the world. Kevin started with a police officer, Rene, mostly because he had a gun. XD Guy survived long enough to solve a few puzzles, but eventually fell to the monster stalking the store. Kevin then went with Erica, the daughter of the father-daughter team who owns the store -- and got her shot by his possessed old character WITHIN SECONDS OF STARTING TO PLAY HER. So, uh, time to break out old reliable Scented Candles Sophie to clean up this mess! . . .and discover the music box isn't even there, damn it. XD This is one of those creepy games I love, but could never play myself, so I'm really hoping Kevin does more of it! He's got just enough goofy presence to help mitigate some of the scares. (Hey, did you know that, according to Kevin, the plural of noose is neese? XD)
Fallout 4: Played a good chunk of that, and now I'm starting to think I have some sort of mental block when it comes to actually going to Diamond City, because -- I'm just not doing it. Though, to be fair, what distracted me this time was getting shot at. Quite a lot. You see, I ended up doing some exploring of the area I was in while making my way to Diamond City, and stumbled upon:
-->A little raider encampment
-->A wild mongrel pack
-->A bunch of super mutants versus a Diamond City guard (who died before I could offer much help, sadly -- don't worry, buddy, I wiped the lot of them out)
-->A bunch of super mutants holed up in an old diner
-->A bunch of super mutants AND raiders waging war against each other in an apartment complex (I cleaned up the survivors and looted all the bodies)
-->What LOOKED like a settler in trouble -- was in fact a raider leading me into an ambush. Died the first time, greeted them with a fragmentation grenade to the face on subsequent tries.
So yeah, I was kind of busy cleaning up the wasteland. On the other hand, it's all good for XP, AND I've picked up LOADS of ammo, plus some great new guns. So I can't really complain too much! Still, I am literally skirting the edges of Diamond City at this point -- I REALLY have to focus and get myself back on track with the plot! This is what happens when you get caught up in exploring the wasteland and doing a bunch of side quests before the main one.
Cleaning up that friend's gift fic for their upcoming birthday: All set and queued! Came out pretty well in the end, if I do say so myself. :) Got the rest of my Victor Luvs Alice queue through Tuesday sorted as well, actually. Including the latest Scene from Secundus: Two PM Reassurances, the sequel to last week's offering. Victor, now a father himself, offers some comfort to his son Vincent, who is scared of monsters in the nursery. I think it's super cute, and I hope you all agree.
And yeah, that pretty much covers my day, beyond reading an article about the Discover University livestream and what it revealed (college looks pretty interesting in Sims 4! I'm looking forward to trying it out!) and doing the RP thing on Valice Multiverse. Gonna answer some inbox comments now, then do the usual bumming around until I get too tired and have to go to bed. Hoping that I don't end up waking up early due to a need to pee again. . .or, at least, if it happens, I can just go right back to sleep. *sigh* Night all! Sims day tomorrow!
