Final BTTF Day!
Nov. 16th, 2019 10:04 pmSo we have to go out on a 10:04 post. Those are the rules. *nods* Not that I did much BTTFing today, admittedly -- I was rather more interested in clearing out some of the videos in my Watch Later queue. Ended up having two 4-episode mini-marathons, one of CallMeKevin and one of GrayStillPlays. So, as you might imagine, I'm a bit high on YouTubers causing massive amounts of hilarious chaos in various games. XD Kevin had:
-->Cooking Simulator's Food Network DLC, in which his primary accomplishment was setting the studio on fire multiple times (someone explain to me why a Food Network kitchen has FIRECRACKERS as an item you can buy)
-->A VR Thief Simulator (I'm not sure that was the actual name), in which he basically flailed around breaking things and occasionally managing to steal shit -- mostly, though, he panicked trying to drive his car places. Not that he didn't have good reason to panic, given he kept crashing into just about EVERYTHING. . .
-->Another round of Scribblenauts Unlimited, in which he discovered a Shoggoth living in the sewers, and the pleasures of dancing Cthulhu in a haunted house. Also he killed God. Yes, this is a thing you can do in this game. XD
-->And Pigeon Simulator, in which he discovered that pigeons can blow up cars with their shit if they eat the right things. XD Also that he's not very good at controlling pigeons, because as usual for these games, awkward controls are awkward.
Whereas Gray had:
-->Pride B4 A Call, in which he played the world's worst tech support agent, who talked to cats (yes) and transferred people to random outside numbers. And occasionally solved blender problems for psychopaths. XD
-->TWO new episodes of Reallives, each with a similar theme -- pregnancy! In one, Gray was the girl, popping out kids starting at 18 while simultaneously trying to make it through college -- she died at 44 from an opportunistic infection. In the other (after a false start that died at one year old from malnutrition), Gray was the boy, impregnating and leaving women like it was going out of style. THAT life actually managed to make it all the way to 75 despite being arrested twice by an unfair government. XD Real lives are apparently very weird, folks.
-->And an episode with two games with semi-similar themes and names -- Triag'd and Triage. The first was a hospital sim of sorts, with people coming in with various silly ailments that you could either ignore or assign doctors to -- Gray of course assigned his to the people who could afford to pay the most, or had the stupidest ailments. XD The second one was a less-funny game about a war hospital (which -- has actually popped up more than once in Gray's games?), and here time was of the essence to see how many people you could actually treat in a day. Gray managed 63 casualties in one round. Gray, never change. XD
And on top of all that, I also watched:
-->An update video on Yandere Simulator about the progress on Osana and the game's eventual proper demo
-->Jay from the Kubz Scouts looking at a couple new features in the game, including a new song for the DDR machine (which he did his best on, but only managed to get B rank)
-->An OXBox list about horrible weapons you should be ashamed to use (such as a gun with a living cat for a silencer, or a time-manipulation device that can rapid-age people, or devolve them into mindless brutes)
So yeah, an extremely YouTube-focused day! Not that anyone should be particularly surprised by this; most of my weekends are YouTube-focused these days. But I also managed to fit in a couple of other activities, namely:
-->Playing some more Fallout 4 -- AND I HAVE FINALLY ADVANCED THE MAIN QUEST LINE. Yup, after taking care of a few last raiders in Parkview Apartments, I found my way back around to Diamond City, and at last met Piper! She's a fun character, I already like her. (Which is good, as I'm planning on her being the Alice analogue in this game, and thus Victor's love interest.) Victor got her and himself into the city, talked with some people, did an interview with Piper to get her as a companion, and discovered his main lead into Shaun's disappearance has, um, disappeared himself. So, time to figure out just where he's gone! And maybe clean up this one raider bar along the way. . .though I might need to give Piper's gear an upgrade first. I gave her some guns already, but I want to see if maybe I can improve her armor too. Dunno what that red trenchcoat of hers actually protects against. . . Also, we need to go visit the Museum of Witchcraft in Salem at some point, because a) something weird is happening there and b) it's marked on the map with a little WITCH'S HAT. XD Can't turn THAT down!
-->Getting up the next Scene from Secundus: An Odd Place For Goggles Some post-funtimes banter between Victor and Alice as they find his tossed-aside goggles under the bed. XD Nothing explicit, but it's clear what they've been doing. XD
And I'm currently doing a bit of the RP thing and trying to catch up on messages, as you do on a Saturday night. Tomorrow is gonna be Sims-focused -- both for videos (I have a fair bit of those to catch up on) and my own game (gotta update my mods, update my game, all that super-fun stuff! And hopefully get a chance to play some of Chell, Wheatley, and Geeker. . .) So yeah -- fingers crossed I can pull it all off! Two-day weekends are just too SHORT, I swear. . .at least I have another long one coming up in a couple week's time! Night all!
