Yeah, fairly rainy today, though fortunately it had mostly cleared up by the time I got out of work, so traffic wasn't too bad. (What was bad: stepping in a puddle and splashing myself. Ever drive home with a wet and cold sock?) I think the rest of the week is supposed to be indecisively cloudy, but we'll see. At least it's supposed to stay in the 40s -- I'll take that over below freezing!

Work itself wasn't too bad -- mostly more roster maintenance stuff, plus putting on some gifts and making other adjustments to records as necessary. However, on my lunch break, I did confirm that my queue is not running as expected -- and I got some information on HOW it's not running as expected. Basically, it's posting around 11:20 AM and 1:40 PM as it should given my scheduling. . .but it's posting everything in the queue, like it thinks it has to group posts around those two times. I have no clue what's going on and have said as much in a post queued up for tomorrow. >( Maybe somebody will be able to come in with an explanation. Or maybe resetting the queue to four on Wednesday -- since I have all the pictures sorted and the start of each post in my drafts now -- will help fix things? I don't know, I'm just grasping at straws here.

Also frustrating -- trying to do the survey for the new fan-voted Stuff Pack the Sims 4 team plans to do! Mostly because I heard they were using the in-game Survey thing to do it, so I booted up my game to go ahead and vote right near the beginning. Not only did my game take AGES to actually start working (this is not that unusual, but still frustrating), it turns out the in-game Survey thing?

LITERALLY A LINK TO AN ONLINE SURVEYMONKEY SURVEY. As in, you vote through your BROWSER, not in some specialized thing in the game. *heavy sigh* Should have just gone to SimsVIP. . . I did get my voting done, at least. There's five themes: Arts & Crafts, Self-Care, Fun-Tech, Science and Technology (in a more general way), and Happy Haunts. Despite what you might think, I'm actually hoping for Arts & Crafts or Fun-Tech to win the day, as they both have more hobby activities for Sims, and the later specifically has a form of mini-golf, which I've been wanting for a while. All of the packs have SOMETHING I'm interested in, though (Arts & Crafts has pottery and knitting as potential activities, Self-Care has a smoothie blender, Science and Technology has a smaller telescope and the ability to build stuff like arcade cabinets, and Happy Haunts has A FREELANCE GRIM REAPER CAREER), so I won't be too disappointed if one of the others wins. Hell, we don't know if the pack will even look anything like our original voting -- Laundry Day was SUPPOSED to be an eco-living pack, after all.

Other things that happened this evening:

-->Got in a workout video, go me

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- I actually went back and revised the fight scene I did last Friday, because I was thinking to myself, "Okay, the way I wrote Alice fighting against the two guards in the Dementation tutorial, the other still-living vampires in the basement should have heard them scuffling and come running. I mean, Alice already aced the Obfuscate tutorial, and she doesn't need to know how to throw things to distract people!" So I reworked it so she ended up killing four Sabbat vampires, and varied them up a little more from the standard models you see in the game (even threw in a girl!). Think it works a lot better, and made for a fun bit of writing. I have to remember that it's okay to go off-script in this story -- Alice is a very different character from the regular female Malkavian protagonist, aaand she doesn't actually live in a video game. XD (Though that DOES bring up the question of how she's going to handle all the weapons one can buy in the game. . .)

-->Watched James's latest "Rags To Enrichment" episode, which was almost a full hour! O.o Bob, despite being very sick near the end of the term and completely missing out on doing his presentation for one of his classes (James got to it at the last minute -- and was still refining it when the deadline to present it passed), managed to complete the term with A+s! :D He proceeded to not re-enroll and moved out of the dorm and into the Pleasant household because James was trying to swap to the other university, Foxbury, and couldn't figure out how. He eventually figured it out! . . .by noticing the "back" button to re-select the university while attempting to figure out the re-enrollment screen. After reapplying to the universities to see if he could do it that way. *facepalm* On the plus side, this DID lead to him getting into the Distinguished Psychology program over in Foxbury! So that was good. :) Bob also had a pretty epic New Year's Eve in-game, having his first kiss with his old Britechester roommate -- and then having ANOTHER with a random girl who came around to enjoy the New Year's festivities at the Foxbury Commons. XD James's sims are always such players. . .at least the roomie also got the chance to woohoo in the shower with him! Mostly because James hastily added some showers so they could, but. . .at any rate, Bob's all settled into his new dorm in Foxbury -- we'll see how his academic career goes from here!

And now I need to answer the comments still in the inbox and head to bed. Four more days of work to get through. . .though I do have something to look forward to -- apparently our Christmas schedule automatically includes getting my birthday (12/27) off this year! So that's nice! :) I'm already thinking of asking for an extra day off or two just to get at least one unbroken week of no work, but we'll see. As it stands, I'm happy enough to wait for the four-day Thanksgiving weekend next week. Night all!
