Period Body Day
Nov. 27th, 2019 11:10 pmAs in, pretty tired most of the time, pretty cold most of the time, surprisingly hungry, and almost everything irritates me. Made for a not-exactly-great day at work. *grumbles* I mean, it wasn't HORRIBLE, just -- things grated on my nerves more than normal, and when you have more roster fun, and other little problems. . . At least it was a short day and I got home quick! That definitely helped in the long run.
Also helping? The fact that I did indeed get into Sims 4 and got another day in the bag for the Redacted-Notamoron/McTest family! Pretty simple day, honestly -- I sent Wheatley to work on his own and instead followed Chell to StrangerVille as she made a bunch of vaccines/cures and splashed Erwin and Jess (two Sims from the trailers; Erwin was not infected, Jess was) to recruit them to the cause of going up against the Mother Plant! I WAS going to do Wheatley too, buuuut for some reason, the option to cure him didn't come up when I looked through the interaction menus. I have the annoying feeling the interaction might be linked to StrangerVille itself and thus Chell will have to take him to StrangerVille to cure him. Either that or make him a spare cure, because while nightly needs boost IS kind of nice, I'm kind of done with not being able to control him for a few hours each night. Plus I just don't want him to be infected forever, ya know? Especially since he's now an official GP! :D Yeah, I knew he was on the verge of getting a promotion -- I decided we just didn't need to see him doing the same old rigamarole with the patients if it was practically guaranteed anyway. Geeker got promoted too -- he's officially a Pro Gamer. :D Nice to see my Sims succeeding at life! Now we just have to finish off this StrangerVille stuff. . .I really want to get it done before Winterfest. I kind of want to take them on a Sulani "vacation" for the day to celebrate. :p
Other things I managed despite the red curse ravaging both body and mind:
-->Finished off the first chapter of "Londerland Bloodlines!" Alice has got her stuff, and she is off to Santa Monica! After thirty-two pages! *claps hands* Let's see how long it takes me to navigate the first hub of the game and all its quests! This has been roughly two months, soooo. . . :p
-->Watched an OXtra video about puzzles that are apparently legally required in video games -- from bouncing light off mirrors, to circuit puzzles, to sliding blocks around in some shape or form. All classics of the genre that make you wonder -- why are they classics? :p At least the sliding blocks in A:MR aren't too hard to figure out. . .
-->Watched two Plumbella videos:
A) A video on trying to create roughly the same Sim throughout the entire Sims series -- and she went backwards, STARTING with Sims 4 and moving back to The Sims. It's astonishing, really, to see just how far we've come with CAS -- I mean, The Sims had nothing but pregens, may I remind you! The leap from that to Sims 2 was SOMETHING. And now I can barely think of doing Sims without the "molding clay" version of CAS. . .say what you will, but Sims 4 does do some things right. :)
B) A video about attempting to install a knockoff The Sims expansion/custom content organizer called "That's Life," which in reality was just someone stealing a ton of custom content for the original game and then selling it. Apparently Mumbella bought it for Plumbella back when she was a kid, not realizing, and Plumbella wanted to go back to the old days. However, between The Sims not working when she FIRST tried to install it, then the items in "That's Life" refusing to actually install into her game. . . It was amusing to watch her flail, at least. :p
-->Got my queue for Thanksgiving sorted, which is good, as I am going to be out of the house for a good chunk of the day. It's something that I hope will give people the feels -- Alice's mixed feelings on being a vampire. Because on the one hand, she kind of hates being a bloodsucker, and Kindred politics, and most other Kindred in general. . .but on the other hand, there are some cool powers, and she does not want to think of a world where Victor died of his injuries in that Santa Monica clinic. (Or where her sister, Emily, and Bonejangles might have stayed prisoners of the Giovanni. Or where Victoria could have ended up a victim of either the Camarilla, the Anarchs, or the vampire mafia nearby.)
And that's about it, apart from a slow trip through my webcomics thanks to concentration issues. *sigh* Not much good for most things tonight. . . At least I should be through the worst of it by the end of tomorrow! In the meantime, I'm gonna answer some comments, do my best to keep up with some messages, and bum around the internet some more as tomorrow's a holiday and I don't have to get up super-early for it. *nods* This sounds good. Night all!
