Yup, this morning Mom and I decorated the house for Christmas! We didn't even need to go out and get any new stuff -- we already had plenty of garlands and ornaments and ribbons and everything. :) Granted, we did have some breakage, and doing the outside meant fighting some extremely cold winds, ugh. . .but everything that is all right is up, and hasn't yet blown into the nearby ditch. We'll see how long it lasts. *fingers crossed*

I also ended up helping Mom out with lunch -- she had to run out and get stuff for chicken tenders, and get peppers and cucumbers because they were on sale. She had me handing her ingredients and slicing up peppers into sticks to dip into ranch dressing. And then, after lunch, I ran out and got eggs for her so she could make her usual enormous batch of cookies for my office. (Plus a smaller batch for my coworker who needs gluten-free stuff.) Obviously there were also some cookies reserved for our personal use (the ones that got a little too brown), and there was a weird batch that ended up more like chocolate chip biscuits. O.o We're not sure what happened there. . .ah well, at least I got to eat a lot of cookies today. XD

Once all that excitement was done with, my day consisted of the following:

-->Watching:

A) The first part of The Red Plumbob's comparison of the university experience across the Sims series -- from what I can see, Sims 4 definitely has the best major selection, and the only one where the Universities on offer are in a regular town you can just visit if you want; but Sims 2 made it MUCH easier to track your class progress, and Sims 3 had at least one small active element to the learning experience, which might have been cool to have in this game. So many rabbit holes in Uni. . .though, at the same time, I don't want ALL active classes, because THAT would get boring too. *stares at the Detective Career* *insert rant here about how careers should, with perhaps rare exceptions, never be fully active, but always have an active element, like SPECIAL OCCASIONS when you follow your Sim to work, and school should work like that too*

B) Plumbella building a house in The Sims 2 -- trying to build the house she built recently in The Sims, in fact! Not an exact copy, but it had the right shape and feel, soooo. . . And it was pretty funny to watch her react to some of the interesting design choices in the game from 2004. XD I'd forgotten just how AWFUL some of the build and buy stuff looked. . .

C) The latest installment of "Rags To Enrichment" from James -- fortunately, he realized that he'd sent Bob off to work on a class day and was willing to have him leave work early so he didn't sabotage his grades. XD He then proceeded to spend most of the rest of the episode in a desperate scramble to keep on top of everyone's needs, university coursework, and classes, while bemoaning the expensiveness of laptops at Uni, the stupidity of Sims when it comes to bicycles (such as taking them out, only to ABANDON THEM in front of their class building because the fastest route to where they're going involves stairs, and then canceling the interaction because obviously they can't get on their bike after leaving it behind), and how everyone wants to talk to Trash and Bob while they're busy with term papers and the like, EXCEPT when Bob actually NEEDS Social. XD Bob also got a makeover -- he's lost the beard and has short hair now, and spent his Saturday at the gym getting absolutely ripped to better match his job. XD Good stuff.

D) Obviously not on YouTube, but we did watch another episode of Good Omens -- this the one where we go over Aziraphale and Crowley throughout the ages, watching their friendship (and something more, depending on how you interpret their relationship) develop -- and thus get to the main credits literally halfway through the episode. XD But some plot stuff is happening, such as Adam befriending Anathema, Newt being sent to Taddesfield, and more Horsemen getting summoned to the Apocalypse. It's all ramping up now!

-->Editing one of my gift fics, w000~ So that's one pretty much ready to go, barring a last-minute revision when I stick it in the queue for Wednesday after next. Now I just have to sort out all the rest!

-->Playing a bit of Sims 4 -- no families; instead, I spent my time working on updating my Bowl N Skate family fun center! After some fiddling with the new toilet stalls, I eventually converted my two separate bathrooms into one (since I'd already marked them both unisex anyway) and changed the color scheme to white and orange to better fit the build. Also updated the coloring on some other stuff too -- and moved all the dirty dishes lying around into the kitchen. XD And then uploaded it onto the Gallery, because why not? Hopefully someone else will find it amusing.

-->Also sorted out some more pictures for this week's Newcrest Adventures update -- thinking it might end up being FIVE posts all together! O.o What can I say, I took more pictures of cute Wheatley and Chell and Geeker and Dario than expected. :p

-->And of course answering inbox comments and getting my queue sorted on the Valice Multiverse -- got a surprise thread from what seemed like a strange muse, but upon further investigation turned out to be another RP account from someone I already know, so okay then XD

-->Oh, and this actually happened yesterday, but this is just a funny thing I wanted to mention from my latest session of Bloodlines -- this glitchy mess of a game, when I first loaded my save, loaded me OUTSIDE OF THE MAP.

Like, seriously -- my character was floating ABOVE the area she was supposed to be walking around in. I could see all the sewers from my position floating in the black void above. I laughed incredulously, tried to see if I could move around in the void and possible fall back INTO the map (no dice), then reloaded my save and found myself in the proper area again. (THIS is how you glitch out, Fallout 4 -- do it when I FIRST START so I don't lose any progress, and do it amusingly. Also Bloodlines keeps both my regular saves AND quick saves, so suck on THAT.)

Aaaand that's about it, really! Just gotta wrap up some final stuff and then head to bed -- four days of work to get through, then a dentist appointment on Friday, and then CHRISTMAS FREEDOM W0000~
