crossover_chick | A Pretty Good Tuesday

Traffic going into work was actually pretty decent, traffic coming OUT of work was some of the best I've had in a long time. It's rare that I get the fifteen-minute ride home in winter! And work itself wasn't too nasty -- mostly cleaning stuff up in the database. Though there was a rather awkward moment of trying to clear up a duplicate pledge. . .got it done in the end, though, so we should be good. :) And, as a bonus, lunch is all set for me tomorrow -- the guys in charge are hosting lots of informational sessions, and bringing back the extra food, so I snagged a half-sandwich for my lunch tomorrow. There are also chips and cookies and candy available, so -- I'm set, seriously. :p

Evening's been pretty good too:

-->Got some more edits done on "Secundus 2" -- a page or so away from finishing up Chapter 3! And then it's onto Chapter 4, in which Victor Has All Of The Worry about his ability to be a good father and person, poor baby. *pats him*

-->Also got my queues done for both Victor Luvs Alice and the Valice Multiverse -- did that thing again where I started on the former right after doing my writing so I could get through the five posts that much sooner. Though having all five started WAS a big help. And then a friend on tumblr pointed me toward a good post that would work for either Thursday or Friday, so that's in the queue to keep it going past tomorrow. And Valice Multiverse wasn't too busy, which allowed me plenty of time to catch up and even put some stuff in my drafts, yay~

-->Had a small Call Me Kevin Marathon:

A) A video on mobile games that rip off GTA -- most of which are as broken and buggy as you might imagine. Still loads of fun, though -- how can you not love a game where you must fight many identical men and watch as cars blow up on scripted cues? Or one where you can knock over a phone booth by running into it? XD Ah, such delightful nonsense. . .

B) Deer Simulator -- you are a deer. This deer has a stretchy neck that can be used to swing off of buildings, the ability to dash and dance on their hind legs, the ability to drive vehicles, and the ability to replace their antlers with GUNS. Yeah, take that "delightful nonsense" from the previous entry and dial it up to ELEVEN. Kevin had a ton of fun flying around and destroying the city, along with its police force of sheep, polar bears (disguised as police cars), and rabbits (with sniper rifles). Also the giant koala of doom hanging out on one of the builds. You gotta love a game that knows it's stupid and just doubles down on that for the pleasure of its players. XD

C) Blind Justice -- you are a judge in Soviet Russia, and you must somehow balance making good judgements between keeping the support of the state and the people and getting enough money to live. Kevin -- was not particularly good at this. XD Poor guy got assassinated a couple of times, jailed for taking bribes a couple of times, executed by his own government a couple of times. . .I think he made it to Day 2 of the game like twice. XD Welp, that's what happens when you play the game like a gleeful sociopath! XD As GrayStillPlays would tell you.

D) Another episode of Sims 4, where Kevin is inspired by the recent Tiny Living pack to send Jim and his current crop of roommates to a tiny home in Brindleton Bay! Oh, but he can't forget all the people he was previously living with! Nor all the children needing adoption! Nor these random strangers on the street!

. . .Kevin ended up stuffing 25 Sims into a tiny house. XD Not quite as good as GrayStillPlay's experiment, but still very impressive. And hey, all of Kevin's various Sims are still alive! For now. . . Oh man, I can't wait to see how THIS shakes out. XD
