Flip-Flop Of A Tuesday
Feb. 18th, 2020 11:23 pmLiterally the only thing that felt similar to yesterday was the drive in. Work was super busy and stressful (we had a coworker out sick, and the phone ringing almost damn near off the hook with people and parishes needing stuff), the drive home was more congested and I had to stop for gas, and a good chunk of my evening was taken up by baking muffins instead of me having more free time to do some stuff. *sigh* I mean, yes, I did need to make my breakfasts for the next couple of weeks -- I just wish it hadn't taken so LONG. I miss our old oven, old cranky piece of shit that it was. . .I never know where I stand with this convection one.
Anyway! For all that, I did manage to get everything that needed to get done, done at work, and accomplished the following at home:
-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" -- edits on Chapter 4 are going well, as Victor starts pouring his heart out to Marty about his fears, and how he hasn't really gotten over what he did to the Queen, poor guy. Fortunately Marty is a good friend and is prepared to help him through.
-->Watched a couple of Sims-related videos:
A) Call Me Kevin playing around with more Sacrificial stuff by bringing good old First Name back as a horribly glitchy cursed child. Occasionally in sunglasses. XD Said cursed child managed to eat, flay, and destroy the souls of many of the houses occupants before Kevin eventually aged him up and abandoned him (along with Jim's latest infant) in favor of putting the survivors in a Fallout-style vault (he's even got Fallout CC to decorate it!). So yeah, just a typical day in Kevin's save file. XD
B) Plumbella ranking all the Sims expansion packs as part of a "trade" of sorts with fellow Simmer EnglishSimmer (EnglishSimmer had to do her townie rankings in return). This was strictly expansion packs across all four iterations of the game -- Plumbella rated a lot of Sims 1 packs as faves, both for nostalgia and because they did such cool things for the game. Of course, Makin' Magic got a top slot. :D I can't comment on most of her rankings -- though I'm not sure she gave the Sims 2 version of Seasons a fair shake; what about the skill and relationship bonuses you got per season? I kind of want those to come back -- but I can definitely agree on that one. :)
-->Got my Victor Luvs Alice Newcrest Adventures update sorted, so my queue's good for tomorrow on that account.
-->And got a bunch of asks answered over on TheValiceMultiverse, so I'm good on that account as well. Just catching up on the "vtmb" tag, as I haven't had a chance to really look it over properly in a couple of days. . .
And now it's time to clear out the comment in the inbox and head to bed. Whew -- we'll see how tomorrow goes. At least I don't have to worry about gas or muffins tomorrow. . .though we do have my LEGO show. We'll see how that goes. Night all!
