A Very Simmy Saturday

crossover_chickYeah, I went with the Sims-themed Saturday today -- mostly because I really, really wanted to catch up with the new Super Sim livestream episodes James has been doing on his livestream channel. Five new parts, including the one that uploaded today, for about four hours of content! O.o Admittedly, I didn't watch every episode in one go -- hell, during the last hour-long one that dropped today, I was interrupting myself every so often so I could answer stuff on my tumblrs and generally be productive. But yeah, that's a lot of Max -- and hey, he's getting right back into his Super Sim groove! Whatever was stopping him from completing the StrangerVille stuff has been fixed, so that aspiration has finally been completed! And now the whole family is in Sulani, along with their overly-large house, so Max can get the "Beach Life" aspiration from Island Living out of the way before doing magic and university. Not that he's done much with the aspiration as James juggles all the other people in the power household, including Max's four sons, and Ace Power, the daughter who is secretly Father Winter's baby. (Originally named Spawn, because James's fans are like that. XD) Latest episode ended with the maid accidentally setting himself on fire in the laundry room after not cleaning out the lint trap on the dryer and dying. So that was fun! XD I've missed this family and this LP -- the amount of ridiculousness that has built up over the years rivals that of the Bigwallets.
I also played Sims 4 myself in the middle of this afternoon marathon -- the McFlys had a busy New Skill Day! Mostly because it seems the holiday only counts skills you aren't already good at -- Jennifer maxed Cooking, and Marlene got a few more points of Creativity, but those didn't count -- it wasn't until Marlene worked instead on her much lower Motor skill and Jennifer tried Gourmet Cooking that leveling up actually fulfilled the tradition. *grumbles* A little annoying, but at least I figured it out and got everyone a point in a low skill so no one had a bad holiday! (Marty tried Photography and Douglas leveled up his Mental skill, by the by.) The family also went out rollerblading at the local pop-up rink, and Marty and Jennifer attended the Starlight Accolades! Well, Marty attended -- Jennifer couldn't get through the velvet rope, despite the game CLAIMING she had access. I ended up building some sneaky stairs to the back patio so she could route around and get in. And after all that, Marty didn't even win an award. *grumbles* Ah well -- always next time, I suppose!
Other main accomplishment of the day was getting up the latest chapter of "Secundus 2" -- Toilet Humor And Bad Dreams. Which, yes, does about sum it up -- start of the chapter includes some jokes about the plumbing infrastructure, or lack of it, in Hill Valley and Burtonsville -- then at the midway point Victor has a somewhat-disturbing nightmare and has to be talked out of worrying about his suitability to be a father by Marty. It's a chapter of ups and downs, is what I'm saying. Hope you all enjoy!
And -- yeah, that's about it when it comes to stuff to report. My morning was the usual messing around on the web and TV Tropes, so nothing particularly new and exciting there, and I'm currently doing some RP stuff and working on tumblr queues, so. . . Tomorrow, the focus shall be on Linkara, Gray Still Plays, and Fallout 4. I think that's all very doable. :p Night all!
