crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)

Yeah, I've got multiple conversations going on and stuff happening on the Valice Multiverse (plus I still have to do the queue for Victor Luvs Alice), so let's try and sum up my Saturday quickly:

-->Woke up to SNOW ON THE FREAKING GROUND -- we had a minor winter weather advisory last night, but it was all supposed to be over and gone by this morning! But nope, took the whole day to melt. *grumbles* Tomorrow is supposed to be back to more seasonally-appropriate weather, but come on. I shouldn't still be having hot chocolate more than halfway through APRIL.

-->Spent the morning cleaning my room -- dusting, Swiffering, vacuuming, as you do. With a little lunch break in the middle, as per usual. Nothing exciting there!

-->Watched a couple of videos from a guy (same one who did the "Can you beat Fallout 4 without a Pip-Boy?") saying who he thinks would win a fight between the protagonists of Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 4 -- the Lone Wanderer, the Courier, and the Sole Survivor. He compared them at the beginning and ends of their respective games, and concluded the Courier would win each time -- they have the most experience with the Wasteland at the beginning, having grown up there, and at the end he has the biggest faction behind him. Though given that both the Lone Wanderer and the Sole Survivor have weapons that can fire multiple mini-nukes at once, my idea for the TRUE winner of that fight would be Nuclear Winter.

-->Played some Fallout 4 -- finished clearing out the ghouls from the College Square Station, and discovered the backstory of all those dead raiders -- a group of them were apparently chased into the station by the ghouls outside, and ended up being overwhelmed in the end. Which doesn't explain the "owned" tripwire at the top of the stairs, but -- whatevers. I picked up some good XP from unlocking doors and terminals, grabbed some nice loot (including SO MUCH Nuka-Cola -- I have 22 bottles of the standard flavor! And SIX Nuka-Quantums!) and got a new artillery cannon set up at Oberland Station, so I'm happy. :D Preston of course assigned me a new quest right away, with the people at Sunshine Tidings worrying about something, and I figured I'd go and just see what needs to be done. . .

Turns out the Sunshine Tidings settlers wanted me to go over to Jamaica Plain to secure the workshop there as a new settlement. I'd already picked up a flyer for that which gave me the "Miscellaneous" quest to find the "treasure" there, and I know from my companion reaction videos Preston has a great reaction when you DO find the treasure -- so we're now there, getting two quests done at once! :D Killed a few raiders on the way there, and I'm currently working through all the bombed-out and abandoned houses, killing the feral ghouls now there. Gonna secure that workbench, then get the treasure! And then maybe spend some time trying to organize all my junk, because I have SO MUCH JUNK. Hopefully I'll have earned a level up by then too. :D

-->Got up the latest chapter of "Secundus 2!" Enjoy Chapter 6, which has one daring rescue and then the rest of it is talking, as is my wont. XD I think you'll still find it entertaining, though. Starting Chapter 7 edits tomorrow!

-->Watched a trio of Call Me Kevin:

A) Wii Resort Sports with our favorite Mii, Turg -- he was kind of terrible at all the mini games except one -- swordfighting! Mostly because Kevin found the way to be awesome was to swing the Wii remote by its strap around his wrist. Yes, he DID whack himself in the face with it at one point XD At least it didn't go through the TV!

B) Start-Up, one of those "make your own company" simulators -- Kevin did "Gobshites Limited," run by Head Gobshite, with a site just called "porn" XD Head Gobshite hired a bunch of people, made a crappy social media site, skimmed off as much money for his retirement fund as he could (which wasn't much), and then absconded after two in-game years. Insert commentary on capitalism here.

C) A bunch of old games from his kid days, including an old Playmobil game (where the main little girl character has to do nice things for people to power up a magical talking gem -- Kevin quit when dealing with her baby sister's crying got to be too much), Treasure Mountain (which was a pretty lousy edutainment puzzle game, with vaguely dirty elves); and the Sabrina the Teenage Witch game (a point and click adventure with the original voice actors and LOTS of annoyance value). Good times~

And that brings me to the present -- time to get on that queue! Tomorrow, plan is to do more Fallout 4 and finish up Jamaica Plain; catch up on some of the stuff I didn't get to today in my Watch Later (TV Tropes and more my brain running away with AU stuff); and as stated, start Chapter 7 of "Secundus 2." *nods* Night all!
