So, had a call from my supervisor this morning regarding my work situation! For those not in the know, I (and most other people from my office) have been officially furloughed, which means we currently don't have jobs for the purposes of collecting unemployment, but the job is waiting there for us to resume once this lockdown is over. My coworkers and I were doing a couple of things via our work e-mails while we were riding out the last two weeks of severance pay, but had to stop once the official furlough went down. Now, though, my supervisor has gotten permission to have one employee -- me -- do some stuff while I'm at home one day per week (we've decided on Thursdays, since it allows for a little more build-up of stuff we have to do). It'll be an official 8-hour shift, paid by the Diocese -- I should still be able to collect unemployment (certified my latest payment this morning, after fighting with the website last night), just a bit less. I consider this a good system for a couple of reasons:

A) Now I don't have to worry about checking my work e-mail, or really even thinking about work, any other day of the week, like I was doing before! I'll still have my phone on every work day, just in case of emergency, but yeah -- now it's all one day, that I'll get paid for. Good system.

B) Since this is remote working, I don't have to worry about going into the office for one day per week. (I'd do it if I HAD to, wearing a mask and stuff, but I'm much happier about being able to stay where I am.)

C) As my parents pointed out, this GUARANTEES I'll still have a job afterward, which is good given how businesses and such are getting whacked by all this coronavirus stuff.

The one downside is having to wake up earlier on Thursdays, but hell, that's fine. Having a day to remind me of when I SHOULD be getting up is probably a good thing. XD I'll have to readjust my schedule back to the norm eventually, after all!

So yeah, that and getting all my latest Newcrest Adventures pictures (both the last day of the McFlys -- small update -- AND the first day of the Embers -- honkin' BIG update, who knew Neighborhood Brawl would result in so many pictures) sorted was the majority of my morning. And then my afternoon was:

-->A couple more vids on Fallout 4 companion reactions (the UFO crash, and the ultra-sad "seeing your dead spouse" -- was very surprised to discover a couple of companions I thought would be all about the comfort don't actually have lines, which is weird)

-->A "building day" in Sims 4 -- I looked at The A-Maze-Ing Wonderland, thought about how I wanted to fit in all my new A:MR custom content -- and ended up basically TEARING THE ENTIRE PARK down to rebuild it. Working out a new maze system and trying to figure out where to put certain things -- I've currently made a little "Duchess's Cooking Area" by the entrance, and made a start on the Queen of Heart's throne room. Complete with a bit of terrain editing! I dunno how long this is gonna take, or if I'm gonna get frustrated and end up putting something else there and just adding to that, but -- well, I certainly have something to occupy myself now when it comes to building! Also went ahead and downloaded a couple of Fallout 4-related items from the Gallery -- the Sole Survivor's pre-war house, and the best Dogmeat I could find. :) I probably am going to end up with another save file where I have specifically a Bloodlines!Alice and a Fallout!Victor falling in love and getting married at this point. Maybe throw in my ideas about a Portal!Victoria and a BioShock!Emily too -- I already have some Portal CC, and I know where to find plenty of BioShock stuff. . .

-->Watched a couple of Plumbella vids:

A) Her leaving The Sims 1 unpaused and running on its lonesome for one Sim year (determined by her to be, if left on three times speed, about 4 hours of actual time). She made a kooky family (one of the kids was named ";" because she couldn't think of anything; another got no personality because Jesse thought she looked like a super-creepy doll), moved them into a nice house, then went to edit a video. Predictably, when she came back and reviewed the footage, everyone was dead via low-cooking-skill fire. Within the first twenty minutes. We have learned that Sims 1 Sims are not to be trusted. XD

B) Her making a video on the history of Bonehilda, the skeletal maid who seems to skip every even-numbered entry in the series -- she was present in 1's Making Magic and 3's Supernatural, but is nowhere to be seen in 2 and has only one tiny shout-out in 4. Jesse is salty because she loves that maid and wants her to come back. Yeah, you can summon skeletal servants in Jungle Adventures with the right relic, but it's just not the same, you know?

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- we're through meeting Jeannette (Alice was not exactly fond of all the flirting, though she did her best to remain polite), and I've sent her upstairs to talk to Knox (as he was waiting at a table in my save, instead of by the bar like he usually is). She's very quickly cottoning on to the fact that he's trying to manipulate her into something -- fortunately for him, she feels she owes him (and Mercurio) for giving her enough information on ghouls to save Victor's life, so she's willing to play ball. Unfortunately the conversation is one I'll have to poke around YouTube for -- for some reason, portions of Helloween's LP are blocked in the States. Not the whole thing, just the odd video here and there. I have no CLUE why. *grumble* Ah well, just have to make do. It's not like I NEED the special Malkavian dialogue in every instance, given Alice talks like a normal person most of the time.

-->Caught up on an Outstar video I'd missed -- she's now an official member of the World of Darkness team at Paradox! :D A community relations manager, which is -- essentially what she was doing before on her own on YouTube, only more official. XD And, as a bonus perk, she gets to play the early version of Bloodlines 2 before release! Lucky. . . She seems very satisfied with the game, though, so that makes me hopeful for the final product! :) And hey, it's just great that she's gotten her dream job doing things for the company that produced one of her favorite games. :D

-->And then caught up on James's latest "Rags To Repayment" episode -- the roommates are still unhappy about everything, with one of them leaving twice (the first time, Trash managed to convince him to re-move in; the second happened near the end of the episode, so James just let him go). Trash also accidentally kicked out Elsa, and had to take a bunch of pictures of her to clear her angry mood and make her stay. XD Additionally, Bob had a decent day at work and called up a maid to help keep the place clean; Misdamenoir 2.0 made a Cleaner bot to help out and figured out how to repair herself; and Trash wrote another screenplay and ended up co-opting the spare bedroom as a recording studio as she got back into vlogging and making videos. Good times, good times!

-->And finally, got my updates for Wednesday started in the queue -- the first update is totally complete, while the other two have pictures and starter text.

And that's about it! So yeah, tomorrow's totally free, as far as I know. Plans involve Fallout 4 (playing and videos); doing more queue stuff on my tumblrs; writing more on "Secundus 2"; and I really, REALLY want to see if I can start back on reading one friend's fanfic. I have been SO REMISS in actually completing it, and I'm just -- I gotta do it. I gotta make the time, read it, write the review, and just DO IT. Come on, brain, if you can get wrapped up in TV Tropes so easily, you can get wrapped up in that! *sigh*

Anyway -- that's for tomorrow. Right now I'm gonna do some picture rearranging on the posts to go up and then hit the sack. Night all!
